An Extra Glimpse—Planning Stage #1
🕑 Added 2023-04-29 13:00:00 +0000 UTCSo a lot of people have been interested in how I go about planning, so I thought I would share how I go about it in the Extra Glimpse posts.
The planning stages do actually change from book to book as I learn and improve and figure out how to make things go smoother for how I work, but this is how I’m approaching it for Book Four.
First up though for all books is to get out the notes I’ve been gathering for that specific book.
Here is a small selection of some for Book Four—I have a whole folder more!
The notes are scenes and ideas and bits of dialogue, etc that I’ve been writing and gathering for sometimes years. I get them all out and see if it’s still relevant, which ones I’m definitely going to use, if any are good but need to be changed, or if any need to go into the folders for later books.
This gives me a really good base to start working from!

This is so cool. I am always so intrigued by and interested in your process! I too am an avid note collector, especially when I'm writing. Unfortunately, mine are always so very scattered...
