"I'm sorry," he apologises, wiping at his eyes as he can't contain his smile. "It's just, well, I'm not sure you'd appreciate hearing the word I thought for you on our first meeting."
Mason snorts. "Was it egotistical?"
"No," Nate replies.
"How about stuck up?" Felix offers.
Nate shakes his head.
"Are we to go through all of my flaws until we hit on the one that apparently caught you most?" Adam asks, folding his arms as he sighs.
His oldest friend reaches out to rest a hand on his shoulder. "Brother. That's how I would describe you now."
"…But what about back then?" Felix insists, not gaining an answer as Adam gives a rare smile of affection back at Nate.
