I don’t think Nick realises there has never been this level of violence in SAO ever. Season 1 and 2 had no blood in the games, limbs and dead people just explode into game particles. There was only a little blood in the car park scene. The goblin fight showed that this world has true violence, and this episode took it up to eleven. To an insane degree out of nowhere for SAO, which is why it’s even more shocking But nick never even knows that there was no pain in season 1 and 2, never acknowledged the pain being turned up to max at the end of alfhiem, this is the first world where everyone feels pain like it’s reality.

Too bad you watched the censored version. This is censored really badly, massive black bars covering half the screen everywhere, Eugeos eye, and a lot of the blood is heavily censored, despite how much they still showed. Very much recommend watching the uncensored version
