I don't know why I got so into figuring out what that was but that image specifically looks like a Ludlum (maybe model 3?) Radiation Detector, which looks like it measures radiation (alpha, beta and gamma). It could also be a stand in for charge plate meter which measures electrostatic fields. Now does this specifically matter? Maybe not exactly, but now we know.

I think maybe... gas? I forget what the meter is called on a vehicle, but that's my impression?

I’m very tempted to believe that the house is the MC’s childhood home but that purely because the sense is described as emotional. I’m actually a little lost what the image (the one with numbers on it) on the right is supposed to be.

Assuming the MC is actually speaking to someone in this scene (we maybe only learning about a past deal) and if it’s with who I think it is then the deal probably more of an ultimatum.
