A Simple Change of Mind - Chapter 5

When I started writing this chapter, I had a goal to write 6 thousand words, but then I got to the middle of the chapter, and my imagination just kept running, and this chapter turned from 6 thousand to 9 thousand words. So I hope you enjoy this big chapter.
Also, this chapter is different from the previous three; this one is filled with action and no smut, so I would really love your opinion on this chapter in the comments.
Harry was woken up from his pleasant dream by a gentle shake of his shoulder and the whispers of his name in his ears.
“Wake up Harry.”
He rolled on his back, sat up, and yawned. Rubbing the sleep from his eyes, he looked at the person who came to wake him up and saw Hermione trying to wake up Ron.
Harry stretched his arms. “Good morning, Hermione" he said groggily.
Hermione turned around, hearing his voice, “Good morning, ha- YEEP” startled by her squeak, Harry looked up to see her looking anywhere but him with a blush on her face.
Confused by her strange behaviour, Harry asked, "Hermione, what's wrong?”
Hermione, with her face blushing and still avoiding his eyes, nodded towards his lap.
Harry looked down at his lap and found the reason for her flustered face in the form of the big tent in his sheets. He quickly folded his legs and hid his morning wood.
He felt embarrassed and a bit relieved that it was Hermione and not Mrs. Weasley who came to wake him up and didn't see this.
Sorry, Hermione, I didn't mean to make you feel embarrassed like this.” Harry apologised.
Hermione shaked her head and finally looked at him. “It's okay, Harry; it's an obvious morning situation, there is nothing embarrassing in that.”
“Thank you for always being understandable.” Harry chuckled, “though why are you waking us so early in the morning?
Hermione perked up as she remembered why she was there in the first place: “Oh yeah, I came here to wake you two up because Molly told me we are going very early today for the match, so get ready and come downstairs quickly.”
She then looked at the still snoring Ron with an expression of disgust and asked, "And will you please wake him up too, Harry?”
Harry nodded. “Don't worry, I will.”
With a smile and thanks, Hermione left. Harry sighed and threw the sheet off his body. He stood up and stretched, getting the knots out of his body.
He then took his clothes out of his bag and made his way towards the bathroom, but not before hitting Ron with a stinging curse, waking him up.
Thankfully, the bathroom was empty, and he began his morning routine.
As he stands under the hot water shower, Harry thinks about the last two weeks he has spent here at the burrow. Even though he was not happy at first to come here after enjoining his summer with Sirius, Harry accepted that he was wrong.
He has enjoyed these last two weeks with his friends; they shared stories about what they had done this summer and just enjoyed their time together, playing or talking.
He had enjoyed playing quidditch and other activities with Ron, Ginny, and the twins. He had even finally met the two older brothers of Ron and Ginny, Bill and Charlie.
The one thing he enjoyed most was teasing Hermione. Harry knew that he had become more confident and, dare he say, a bit flirty because of spending a month with Sirius.
Since the day he arrived, Harry has tried everything to keep teasing Hermione just to see her beautiful face turn red. He had complimented and flirted with her at every opportunity, just to leave her a stuttering mess.
He didn't flirt with her only because he enjoyed teasing her; the truth was, Harry realised he liked Hermione. Before this summer, Harry had never actually seen any girl with interest because of the life-or-death situation he faced for the past three years.
But after being with Sirius and spending his time with Maria, Harry started to look at girls around him with more interest. And he had found out how much he liked his bushy-haired friend.
Even though she had always been insecure about her looks, Harry had always liked Hermione's features, but this summer he saw that she had developed into a hot girl.
He recalled the day they went to the pond for a swim. He remembered seeing Hermione in the daring two-piece bikini, something he had never thought of her wearing.

He then sat down, and Molly put a plate full of food in front of him. Harry shaked his head in amusement, wondering how she can make so much food so early in the morning. He began eating and waited for everyone to come downstairs.
Fred and George were the first ones to arrive, still yawning and rubbing their eyes. They both whined about how unfair it was that Bill and Charlie didn't need to wake up early and were going to arrive directly at the camp site.
Harry agreed with them too, feeling a bit annoyed that he couldn't do the same thing, but he knew he had to hide the fact that he could apparate, and he still didn't have the licence to legally apparate either.
As the twins told him about how hard it was for Bill and Charlie to pass the test, Harry began to realise why Sirius was so shocked when he apparated on his first attempt. He felt a bit smug and proud of himself.
Finally, after a half hour, everyone was ready to go, and they made their way to the hill where Arthur told them the portkey was on.
After a long hike, they reach the top of the hill, where they find two men already there with the portkey. One of them Harry remembered as Cedric Diggory, the Hufflepuff seeker, and the second one Arthur introduced as the father of Cedric, Amos Diggory.
All of them returned Cedric's 'hi', except the twins, who were still upset about the previous year's match. When Arthur introduced Harry and Hermione, Mr. Diggory was wide-eyed and started bragging about his son's victory last year.
Harry had to hold on the twins back from speaking back in defence of him. Harry actually didn't care and just ignored Amos since he himself knew he was the better player and would have won if not for the unforeseen situation.
He just let Cedric's father brag about his son beating The Harry Potter. Knowing he would not get the opportunity ever again.
Thankfully, Arthur interrupted him and reminded them about the portkey. All of them circled the portkey, which was an old boot, and touched a part of it. With a countdown of five, they were whisked away to the camp site.
This time Harry was ready, and as soon as he felt ground beneath his feet, he took a step forward and, with only a slight stumble, managed to not fall on his face for the first time.
However, his victory was short-lived, and a soft body crashed into him, sending him sprawling face-first into the ground.
"Oh, for fuck sake, the one time I actually managed to not fall on my face.” Harry groaned and spit out the dirt in his mouth. He turned his head and looked at the person on his back, and he saw Hermione's soft brown eyes.
"Hermione, you really like falling on me, don't you?” Harry teased her “although I definitely don't mind it”.
Hermione squeaked and quickly stood up, hiding her blushing face. Ginny and the twins laughed, while Ron had a scowl on his face.
Harry ignored him since Ron had been doing the same whenever he and Hermione had flirted or even talked in the last two weeks. He knew Ron liked Hermione, but it isn't his fault that he didn't even try with her, and Hermione doesn't even care about him like that.
After that, Arthur led the way to their tent. Harry looked around the site and was completely amazed by the scenes; he had never seen so many people in one place like this.
Everywhere he looked, he found different people doing strange things. There were thousands of tents, maybe even more, and every tent was different from the others. Some were even so ridiculous-looking that Harry couldn't help but laugh.
There were some very extravagant tents that just made Harry roll his eyes at the unnecessary expense; he could tell it was all for show rather than necessity. Like, why would you even need a tent as big as a fucking house?
As he looked at a two-story big tent with a fountain, he thought, Who could be stupid enough to have a tent like that? But then an image of an ugly, pointy face came into his mind, and he shook his head. Of course, how could I have forgotten there are people like Malfoy still alive.
They finally found their tent, and Arthur ushered them inside. The tent was big from the inside, with beds for everyone and a kitchen in it. Even after four years, Harry was still surprised by the wonders of magic.
After getting comfortable, Harry turned to his friends and asked, "I am going to meet someone you want to come with me."
Hermione eagerly nodded, but Ron was stopped by Ginny. “Not you, Ron; you are coming with me, Fred, and George to bring the water just like dad asked us.” She firmly said
"What, but I want to go with Harry" Ron whined.
Ginny stubbornly shaked her head. "I don't care, Ron, we have three buckets to fill, so any extra hand will be needed." She then dragged the still-whining Ron out of the tent.
Harry breathed a sigh of relief and turned to Hermione, and said "Come on, we should go too."
Hermione nodded and followed Harry as he made their way to the Bulgarian camp site, which was a little bit away from the Irish camp, which he thought was sensible.
They entered the rival camp and instantly felt the change in the surroundings; it was somehow the same and yet very different from the Irish camp.
The Bulgarians were excited too, but they were not expressing themselves as loudly as the Irish. Harry could still feel the excitement in the air at this camp, but it was more restrained compared to the Irish one.
Harry looked around at the different traditions on display and the different yet familiar types of people to him because of his last month's stay in Bulgaria.
Hermione too, was fascinated by the scene but also remembered their purpose in coming here. She tugged at Harry's sleeve to get his attention.
Harry looked at her and raised an eyebrow. “What happened, Hermione?"
"Harry, how are we going to find your friend?”
Harry chuckled, “Don't worry, she had told me to wait at the entrance of their camp, and she will find us.”
Just then, they heard a sweet voice in French behind them.
“Looking for someone handsome”
Harry quickly turned around and saw Maria standing there, wearing her country's colours with pride, and looking gorgeous.
Harry grinned. "I was, but now I have found her.”
Maria's face spread into a wide smile, and she jumped into Harry's arms, finally feeling his strong arms around her waist after fourteen days.
Harry sighed and inhaled her smell. "I missed you.”
Maria pulled back and smiled, “me too, so much." She pulled him down with her hand on his neck and kissed him hungrily.
Harry tightened his arms around her and pulled her closer. He then slid his hands over her ass and squeezed it. Maria moaned in his mouth, and Harry took the opportunity to thrust his tongue in her mouth, turning their simple kiss into a full French kiss.
All the while, Hermione looked at them in shock and with a blush on her face. She wanted to feel angry and jealous at Maria, but she did not; in fact, she was feeling hot seeing Harry kiss someone else so passionately.
She was shocked and confused by her being aroused by the view. She thankfully pulled herself out of the trance and noticed the kiss had turned into a full-on snog. She was afraid they were going to tear each other's clothes right here.
Hermione coughed, but it did not make any difference at all, so she coughed more loudly and finally succeeded.
Harry and Maria heard the cough and separated to look at the red-faced Hermione. Harry adjusted his clothes and rubbed his head awkwardly, while Maria just stood there smirking unashamedly with her hair dishevelled and her clothes ruffled.
Trying to end the awkward moment, Harry introduced Maria and Hermione to each other.
"Hermione, this is Maria, my girlfriend, and Maria, this is Hermione Granger, my best friend.”
Hermione smiled and said, "It's nice to meet you. Harry told me about you.”
Maria wiggled her eyebrows. “Did he tell you everything, even about our time in bed?" Hermione blushed again at her sexual innuendo.
"Maria,” Harry warned her as she laughed, clearly enjoying teasing the younger girl.
Maria raised her hand in apology and said, "I am sorry; I was just joking." She grinned as Hermione accepted her apology. "And I am so happy to meet you too. Harry has told me much of everything he knows about you.”
From then on, both girls started talking as if they had been friends for years. Harry just stood there and looked at them with a dubious expression on his face, completely confused and terrified at what he was seeing.
Harry cut in, "Maria, where is Sandra? She didn't come with you."
Maria snorted and, with a smirk, said, "Oh, she did; she is in England but is going to stay with Padfoot the whole day.”
Harry chuckled. "Well, good for them, but then what about you?”
"Don't worry about me; for the day and the match, I am going to be with my friends.” She then mischievously smiled, “and the night with you,” she huskily said, biting her lip.
Harry returned her lustful stare, imagining the things he would do to her. He has two weeks of pent-up energy stored up in him.
Their heated gaze was broken down by a confused Hermione, "Wait, who is Sandra and why is she with-“She looked around them and lightly whispered, “Sirius”.
“Sandra is actually Maria’s mother, and she and Sirius are dating,” Harry answered.
"Oh, that's good; I am happy for Sirius" Hermione said with genuine happiness.
“Now” Maria hooked her arms around Harry and Hermione's elbows and dragged them, “come on, my friends are dying to meet you, Harry. And Hermione, you are coming with us too.”
Maria led them to her tent, where all her friends were, and introduced them. From then on, for the next few hours, Harry and Hermione spent their time with Maria and her friends; they didn't even realise how much time they spent with them.
Harry loved meeting Maria’s friends, even though he had to suffer through some teasing from them. One of her friends even sat on his lap, and Harry looked at Maria, expecting her to be angry, but she was smiling with a hint of lust in her eyes. Harry realised she was not lying when she told him how she wanted to bring other girls into their relationship.
It was something that made him wonder if she would bring one of her friends to their bed tonight. Harry tried not to continue that imagination since he didn't want a hard on in front of Maria’s friends.
Hermione also enjoyed her time with the new people. At first, she felt a bit overwhelmed meeting so many new foreign people with their different languages, but surprisingly, they were very nice and only talked in English so that Hermione could understand.
She also understood why Harry loved Maria and why they hit it off with each other in just a month. Maria, as she found out, was very nice and fun to be around, although she also liked to tease other people, which Hermione found out quickly.
She was also very beautiful and loved quidditch. Hermione was happy to see how happy Harry was with Maria, but the one thing that confused her was why she didn't feel any anger or jealousy seeing Maria with Harry.
She had thought she would be jealous of Maria when she met her, but all she did think when she saw Harry with Maria in his lap exchanging sweet, hot kisses was how she also wanted to be with them and for both of them to kiss her and play with her.
When the sun started setting and the match time was close, Harry and Hermione decided to head back to their tent. They said their goodbyes to their new friends and made their way to the Irish camp site.
Maria went with them, holding Harry's hand till the end of the Bulgarian camp.
Once there, Harry turned to Maria and asked, “Are you sure you don't want to come with us to watch the game?"
Maria shaked her head, "Harry, I told you I only want to watch with my friends; we are going to support our country together.”
Harry raised his hand and said, "Hey, I was just trying to change your mind.” He smirked. "Although it is quite pointless to support Bulgaria when you know you are going to lose“ he playfully said.
Maria scoffed, “We will win." She narrowed her eyes at him. “You know what? If you are so sure the Irish are going to win, then let's bet” she challenged.
Harry raised his eyebrow and asked, "Are you sure?”
She crossed her arms and confidently nodded.
Harry grinned and said, "Alright, then what will I get when I win?"
Maria scowled at his arrogance and thought about the prize. She looked at Hermione, and the perfect prize came to her mind.
She smirked, “If you win, I will bring another girl for a threesome tonight.”
Hermione who was listening to the tense conversation, gasped and her eyes widen in shock at the winning prize. She looked at Harry for his reaction.
Harry narrowed his eyes at Maria's smirking face. He knew there was something cooking in her mind. He had seen her looking at Hermione before declaring the prize, and he thought if she meant Hermione as the other girl. If she did, Harry definitely wouldn't say no to that.
“What would you get if you won?" Harry asked.
Maria bit her lips seductively and said, “You will do whatever I want tonight.”
"Fine" Harry accepted and shaked hands with Maria, sealing the bet.
He pulled her closer and kissed her. Biting her bottom lips, he pulled back and whispered, "I will be waiting for my win tonight.”
Maria scoffed, “We will see." She kissed him one last time and went back to her tent, her hips swaying tantalisingly.
With one last look at her ass, Harry turned and made his way back.
“Let's go, Hermione."
Hermione who was still in shock, came out of her trance and ran back to him. She still can't believe what she just saw, but one thought stucked in her mind. How I wish I was that other girl.
When they arrived at the tent, they were met with a flurry of questions from all the Weasleys. Finally, after calming them down, they explained why they were so late, which everyone accepted except Ron, who was still not happy that he didn't go with them.
As the time of the game loomed closer, they began making their way to the stadium among the large crowd.
Finally, after climbing the stairs to the highest point of the humongous station, they reached the top box. Harry looked at the Weasleys awestruck faces as they looked around the box and smiled.
He was grateful that Sirius did this, even though he might have done it only for him. Harry was still happy that Sirius action brought Weasley such happiness.
After a while, the British mister of magic, Cornelius Fudge, arrived with another male person with him. Once he saw Harry, he invited him and greeted him in a fatherly way. Harry knew exactly what the mister was trying to do, so he greets him in a familiar way too.
Fudge then introduced the person with him, "Harry, this is the Bulgarian minister of magic, Mr. Oblansk..obolask or something." He waved it away as if it didn't matter. Feeling embarrassed, Harry smiled apologetically at the Bulgarian minister for Fudge stupidity.
“And this is Harry Potter...you know the Harry Potter.... The boy who lived... Surely you know who he is.” Fudge again showed his idiotic side. Harry rolled his eyes and tried to salvage the situation.
“It's an honour to meet such a powerful person as you, Mr. Oblansk,” Harry said in Bulgarian. He never would have thought that learning it from Maria would help in a situation like this.
The Bulgarian minister was shocked. “You speak the mother tongue of Bulgaria?” he asked, his eyebrow disappearing in his hair in shock.
Harry shrugged. “Not perfectly, but enough to hold a conversation.”
“How did you learn it?” the minister asked curiously.
Harry smiled, “from my Bulgarian girlfriend.”
The mister laughed loudly and startled everyone in the box. Finally, after composing himself, he said, “You really are a very interesting person, Mr. Potter.”
Harry shaked his head. “Please call me Harry. A person of your station should not be that respectful to me. I am nothing special.” He humbly said with a soft smile.
“Being so humble with such big fame, you are quite an impressive person, Harry. And you may call me Ivan; you have earned my respect to call me by my first name.” He said with a smile, very impressed by Harry.
Harry returned his smile and bowed in respect, “Thank you, Ivan; it means a lot to me.” He then continued in an apologetic tone and said, "Also, I want to apologise on behalf of the minister Fudge, for being unnecessary rude with you.”
“Ah! Don't worry about that, Harry. I know how Fudge is; this was not the first time he had behaved like this in front of other ministers.” He said and dismissed his apology with a wave of his hands. He leaned closer to Harry and whispered, "In fact, let me tell you a secret: I actually know how to speak English. I was just having fun with that fool.”
Harry laughed, and Ivan joined him as well, while every person in the box looked at them in shock. Seeing Harry Potter and the Bulgarian minister laughing together was a surprising scene.
Before they could continue their conversation, they were interrupted by the shocked voice of Fudge.
"Harry, you know Bulgarian!" He exclaimed.
Harry nodded, "Yes, I do, and let me tell you, minister even though Mr. Oblansk can't speak English, he does understand it a little bit, and he is not happy with you at all. You almost broke the relationship between England and Bulgaria.” He lied and discretely winked at Ivan, who understood it and changed his expression to an angry one.
Fudge's face palled, and he stuttered, “B..But.. he was laughing with you right now.”
“That was because I made him laugh to cool down his anger, but if you asked me, you should apologise to him too,” Harry said, and left fudge behind as he stuttered his apology to Ivan and went back to his seat.
He saw a tense stare between the Weasleys and the Malfoys, who looked like they had just arrived. He went closer and heard Lucius taunting comment to Arthur.
“Good Lord Arthur, what did you sell for such an expensive seat? Surely your house won't fetch this much,” he scornfully said.
Seeing the angry look on Weasley's face, Harry cut in before they made a big mistake.
“Why do you care so much about other people's finances, Lucius?" Lucius and Draco scowled at him.
Harry smirked and continued, “Or maybe you are jealous that people like you get the seats only after giving a big donation, while others get lucky or are getting paid back for the good deeds they have done in their lives."
Lucius and Draco's scowl deepened; their faces turned into an ugly expression as the people in the box looking at the scene snickered at them. Lucius tried to get in his face, but Harry ignored him and went to the beautiful lady standing beside Draco.
He had been looking at her since the beginning of the conversation. He could tell she was Draco's mother by the way she was standing with him, though it was hard to judge as there were no facial similarities between her and Draco.
Harry took her hand and kissed the back of it, "It's a pleasure to meet such a beautiful lady as you, my lady.” He said with a charming smile.
“The pleasure is all mine, Mr. Potter,” Narcissa politely replied with a hint of red on her cheek.
Harry continues laying his charm, “My lady, I actually feel sorry for you. You’re such a well-mannered lady, but I am sure your husband and son have embarrassed you countless times, just like they are doing right now in front of so many powerful people.”
Knowing from the look in her eyes that he had succeeded, Harry waited for Lucius to take the bait, which he did instantly.
Lucius hissed, “Why you son of a mud-“
“Enough Lucius," Narcissa cut him off and narrowed her eyes at him, “you and your son had already embarrassed me enough; I'm not going to let you put dirt on my name anymore, so both of you go to your seats NOW." She ordered her husband and son.
Both of them, too shocked to do anything, went to their seats quickly. The listening crowd also took their seats since the show was over, but everyone was quietly laughing at the Malfoys.
Narcissa sighed and looked at him. "I apologise on behalf of my husband and son, Mr. Potter.”
Harry shaked his head and said, “You shouldn't apologise for your husband's mistake. I meant what I said earlier: I really do feel sorry for you for being with such a horrible person for so long.”
"I don't understand why you care so much,” Narcissa stoically said, her body tensed.
Harry looked into her eyes. “Because we are, in a way, family, I do have a little bit of black blood running through my veins,” he softly said.
For the first time, he saw an expression on her face. Narcissa said, “You know,” in shock.
"I do,” Harry nodded, "I know a lot about House Black and its members; after all, I am the heir of the house,” he said with pride and showed her the heir ring on his finger.
Narcissa's eyes widen. "I should have known it would be you."
At his confused face, she explained, “Lucius had always thought that Draco would be the black heir, but every time Draco tried for the heir ring, he was rejected by family magic. I should have known that the heir of the house would be the one who has Aunt Dorea blood in him.”
Harry smiled at the way Narcissa said his grandmother's name in a fond and respectful tone.
“You are one of the last living blacks, and I care about every member of our house, so if you ever need anything, you can reach out to me.” He sincerely said.
Narcissa's lips curled into a genuine smile. “Thank you, Harry, she said, and with that, she went to her seat and completely ignored her husband.
Harry sat in his seat as Ludo Bagman finally arrived to start the match. Hermione leaned closer and quietly asked.
“What took you so long?”
"Nothing; I was just talking with her about something else.” Harry said dismissively. Knowing she would not get the right answer from him, Hermione dropped the matter and focused on the start of the game.
Excitement surged through Harry's body as, finally, Bagman started the big event and the team mascots entered the stadium first.
Harry was impressed to see the Irish mascots and their interesting display of fireworks and rainbows. Their whole magical show was interesting and funny at the same time. He had a good laugh seeing people like Ron mistaking leprechauns for real gold coins.
Next was the Bulgarian mascot turn, and Harry was not surprised at all to see the beautiful veela gliding on the ground and capturing everyone’s attention. Making the minds of almost every male and some female present in the stadium cloud in lust.
Harry had met with Veela of Bulgaria the previous month during his vacation. Sandra had taken them to the Veela Conclave of Bulgaria, which was situated in beautiful valleys. It was the most beautiful place Harry had ever been.
Even though no males were allowed into the conclave, being Harry Potter had its advantage in Bulgaria too; he and Sirius were both allowed in. If the surrounding place was beautiful, the females of the conclave Harry saw were the most beautiful women in the world.
He felt as if they were not humans. When he turned to ask Sandra about it, he saw her and Maria looking at him in shock and Sirius standing with his face scrunched in concentration. He was confused by their reactions.
It was not until Sandra explained it to him about Veela and their allure Harry finally understood their reactions; it finally made sense to him why they were shocked at his unfazed emotion being immune to allure and why Sirius was fully focused; he was most probably using his occlumency to fight the allure.
To check it for himself, Harry focused his magical senses around him and found the overwhelming layer of magic covering their surroundings. He could see why a weak-willed person would be affected by such a strong allure.
Seeing how unaffected he was by their allure; Harry was surrounded by the veelas of the conclave the whole time they were there; he felt like an animal in a zoo. The Veelas flirted with him, and some even tried to bed him.
He later found out how rare it was for a Veela to find someone completely immune to their allure, and how it fuelled them to claim that male as their own. That made it easier for him to understand their obsession with him, even though he still had to suffer through some very embarrassing situations that day.
Thankfully, he had Maria with him, who stayed by him and shooed away any Veela trying to flirt with him. At the time, Harry was confused by her reaction and angry glare at every Veela, but now that he thought about it, he realised she was actually jealous of them.
Which Harry found amusing now, as even at that time, in his eyes, Maria was more beautiful than any woman there.
Harry came out of his trance and looked around himself and saw a very amusing scene. He bit his cheeks off from laughing as he saw Ron almost off the rails trying to dive straight onto the ground and the twins flexing their muscles trying to impress the Veela cheerleaders.
Ginny also looked like she was experiencing the effect of allure but was fighting it admirably. Draco was holding his groin and moaning in pain, which confused Harry, but he then saw Narcissa with her wand in hand and an expression of disgust on her face, and it became clear what had happened.
Narcissa had actually cursed her own son in the groin, most probably for doing something embarrassing. She was also glaring at her husband, who looked like he was trying his best to repel the allure but was fighting a loose battle.
Harry turned to Hermione who was looking at Ron in disgust, “Do you think he will actually jump down there?" He asked with amusement.
Hermione looked at him in shock, "Harry, you're not affected by them?” She asked with wide eyes.
"Nope,” Harry said, shaking his head with a smile.
Hermione sighed and smiled, “Thank Merlin, at least you are not behaving like a pig.” She said with a disgusted look at Ron.
Harry chuckled, "Now, Hermione, don't blame the poor guy; it's very rare for someone to be completely immune from the allure.”
“Just one of many things only you could do, Harry,” Hermione fondly said with a heated gaze as she licked her lips.
Harry almost kissed her right there but was stopped by the angry shouts of every male in the stadium. They looked around and saw that the Veela dance was over, and Ron and the twins were clearly not happy about it.
Harry chuckled while Hermione rolled her eyes at their behaviour.
After calming everyone down, Bagman introduced the team. One by one, the team's players were introduced, but Harry had his eyes on only one player, Viktor Krum.
He used his omnioculars and focused on him. At first look Krum didn't look much impressive he was thin, dark and sallow skinned with a curved nose, but Harry knew looks can be deceiving.
He had heard many things about Krum, especially when he was in Bulgaria, where everyone loved him and he was their favourite player, but he heard the most about him from Maria.
Interestingly, Sandra and Krum's parents are close family friends, and because of that, Maria knew Krum from her childhood, and she even looked at him as a big brother.
She had told him how her passion for quidditch came from Viktor; he was the one who encouraged her and taught her how to fly. Harry was keen to see if what Maria told him about Krum was true, and he wanted to know how much of a gap there was between himself and the best seeker in the world.
Finally, Fudge released the snitch, and the match began. And what followed after that was one of the most interesting games Harry had ever seen live.
The speed of the match was very fast; it clearly showed the difference in level of play between a school match and a world cup. It was not the most quality-filled game Harry might ever see in his life.
The Irish were very good, especially their chaser trio, who were clearly the best in the world, but the Bulgarian team, on the other hand, was not anything special; it was clear the reason they were in the final was their star seeker.
Krum clearly deserved all the hype he had; the way he was flying and manoeuvring in the air was making the Irish seeker look like a newbie. He was quick—very fast—and his every movement and dive were inch-perfect.
Harry had to use his omnioculars to record Krum's Wronski Feint so he could look at it later.
But he was still only a single player, and from the start of the match, it was clear who was going to win. The Bulgarian chasers were no match for the Irish chasers and got completely outplayed by them. The Irish scored goal after goal after goal while only letting Bulgaria sniff a goal once.
And as the match went on, the Bulgarian players started getting frustrated, and the match became very brutal. The Bulgarian beaters were hitting Irish players instead of the bludgers, which only made the Irish score more points.
In the end, even with the heroics of Krum, who caught the golden snitch with a bloody nose, the Irish won the match easily with 170 to 160 points. And the Irish supporters erupted in cheers.
After a long track back to the tents among the large celebrating crowd, they were all seated around the camp fire, relieving the match and enjoying the moment. Arthur then ordered them to go back to their bunks for the night's sleep.
Harry got into his bed but stayed awake waiting for Maria’s Patronus message, as they had discussed before. After a while, when the celebration outside cooled down and there was no message from her, Harry started feeling a bit uneasy.
When he heard a scream, he knew something was wrong. He climbed down from his bed, went outside, and saw a horror scene.
The rows of tents were on fire, people were running around in panic and fear, children were crying, and among all of that, he saw a group of wizards in masked hoods and robes with four people who Harry recognised as the muggle campsite collector, his wife, and their children suspended in the air.
The masked wizards were laughing and jeering at the poor muggles. A burning rage filled Harry's veins, and he took a step forward to go help them, but he was stopped by Arthur, who came running from somewhere.
"Harry, thank Merlin, you are awake. I was just coming to wake you and everyone up,” Arthur said while breathing heavily.
“Mr. Weasley, what's happening? Who are those people?” Harry asked with barely controlled anger.
“Those are death eaters, Harry.” Arthur said sombrely.
“Death eaters," Sirius had told him all about them and the evil things they had done in past war. Harry, since he found out that death eaters were the followers of Voldemort, had grown a deep hatred for them; they were the witches and wizards who supported a monster like Tom Riddle.
“We didn't have enough time, Mr. Weasley; I'm going to help those muggles,” Harry said, and he took his wand out of its holster with a flick of his hand.
“Harry Wait!” Arthur stopped him and said, “Please listen to me; leave them to us; we will save them, but you children need to go to safety rather than to a fight.”
“But-“
"No, but Harry, even if you don't want to accept it, you are still not skilled enough to fight them. You came here with me, and so you will listen to me.” Arthur said in a stern command.
Harry's knuckles turned white as he clenched his wrist. He didn't like being told he was not skilled enough; he knew what he was capable of, and he is of legal age. Arthur has no right to command him, but for now he listened to him because he knew it was futile to argue with Arthur and they would just be wasting their time.
So he nodded and did as he was told, woke everyone up, and told them to get ready quickly. After a couple minutes, everyone was awake, and Arthur told him, Hermione, Ron, Ginny, and the twins to go to a safe place, and Arthur, Bill, Charlie, and Pervy went to help the muggle.
Harry led the way in the lead as they moved in a formation, with Fred at the back.
They moved through the tents on fire and among the people running around in fear. Harry could hear the shouts of spells and fights in the background; he also heard the cries of pain.
Even though Arthur had told him to lead their group to safety, Harry had already made up his mind that he was not going to run away.
He was going to fight the death eaters no matter what he had been ordered. Call it his ‘saving people’ thing or whatever; he was not going to leave innocent people in harm's way.
With that in mind, he turned back to the group and said, "We need to split; we can't move like this; we are moving too slowly." He then pointed towards Ron, Ginny, and the twins and said, "You four go that way, while me and Hermione will go this way.”
"What, why?" Ron tried to protest.
"Ron, this is not the time to argue. Harry is right; do as he says." Hermione cut him off with a firm voice.
Ron still tried to argue, but Ginny hit him with an elbow to his stomach and shut him off. She turned to Harry and said, "I hope you know what you are doing, Harry.”
Harry nodded. “I am”
"Alright, then you two be safe,” Ginny said, and with twins, she carried the whining ron to the camp outside.
Hermione turned to him, raised an eyebrow, and asked, “Why did you not send me with them?”
Harry snorted, "Because I knew you wouldn’t have listened to me.”
Hermione nodded with a smile tugging at her lips, “Good to know you know me so well.” She and Harry shared a laugh, and then with a serious tone, she asked, “Now what is the plan?”
Harry's face changed to a serious expression, his posture became alert, and his wand was ready in his hand. “We should water this fire down and look around to see if there are any people, especially children, left behind in these tents.” He ordered.
A time like this proves why Hermione trusts Harry with her own life. In the past three years, whenever they had been in a dangerous situation, she had seen her best friend turn from a boy to a man.
Hermione knew Harry was born to lead people. In every dangerous situation, Harry took command with ease, and she had never seen someone so young be so calm and composed, even when their lives were at risk.
Also, hearing him order her in his deep commanding voice made Hermione's panties wet; she wants him to order her around—NO STOP IT!! It is not the time to think like that.
She shaked her head and gave him a nod, as he was still waiting for her answer.
They began using the Aquamenti charm and putting the fire out. Thankfully, they did not find any children left behind, but they did find some people stuck and injured. They quickly helped them out, and Hermione healed them with her limited medical knowledge.
After a few minutes, the crowd was gone, and no one was injured or stuck. They looked around to see if anyone needed help, but fortunately found no one.
Just when they thought the situation had calmed down, Harry heard a very familiar voice shout out a spell.
“Maria..”
Harry turned and ran in the direction where he heard Maria's voice.
"HARRY!" Hermione shouted at him, but he didn't stop. Huffing, Hermione ran too, following him.
Harry arrived at the place where a fight was going on and saw Maria fighting against two death eaters while an extra three were standing at the back, letting the two in front fight her. She was barely holding her own against them, and she was fighting very defensively.
Harry looked behind her and saw the reason. She was shielding one of her friends, whom Harry remembered as Khloe, and a young girl with her who looked like her younger sister. Khloe was holding her injured leg and the shivering girl in her arms.
Harry saw one of the death eaters trying to attack Maria from her blind side. Feeling his magic react with his anger, Harry jumped to Maria’s aid.
“Confringo” Harry hissed the incantation and fired the spell at the death eater. His aim was true, and it hit the unsuspecting wizard in the back and sent him flying straight into a tree, knocking him out with his back cracked from the power of the spell.
Shocked by seeing their comrade get taken so suddenly, the death eaters looked at the person who did this, and all four shouted, “POTTER” Three of them did it in shock, while one, which sounded familiar to Harry, did it in rage.
Using their distraction, Maria fired a bone-breaking curse at one of the death eaters who was fighting her and broke his leg. Seeing the opportunity as the three remaining death eaters looked at the one screaming in pain, Harry fired a “Bombarda” into the ground in front of them, blasting them off their feet and sending dust into their eyes.
He and Hermione, who had just arrived at the fight, ran towards Maria.
Maria sighed in relief seeing him. “Thank God you are here, Harry,” she said in relief with a smile.
But Harry was not happy. "Yes, thank God that it was your luck that I heard your voice and I arrived here just in time; what would have happened if I didn't? You could have at least sent a Patronus to me.” He said in anger and concern for her.
"Well, I am sorry that I didn't find the time to send you a message in between the fight” Maria said sarcastically, feeling annoyed by his anger.
Harry opened his mouth to reply, but he was cut off by Hermione.
“Will you two stop fighting? We are in the middle of a battle, and will you please speak in English so I can understand what you are saying?" Hermione said sternly with her hands on her hips.
Harry and Maria both blushed, feeling embarrassed by getting scolded in the middle of a fight.
“You are right, Hermione; we should not fight against each other. I am sorry.” Harry apologised to Maria.
"I am sorry too” Maria said back.
"Good, it looks like they are coming back. So, what is the plan?” Hermione asked, looking behind them.
Harry looked behind him and realised she was right; the remaining death eaters were back on their feet and coming towards them.
"Hermione, go check if you can heal Khloe's leg and shield them from any stray spell.” Harry took control and ordered Hermione.
Hermione nodded and went to the injured girl. She put a shield around them and looked at her injured leg.
Maria looked at him. “And what are we going to do?” She asked with a raised eyebrow.
Harry relaxed his body and took his fighting stance. “We fight” he said with a smile.
Maria chuckled. “We always fought against each other, never together” she said, and she took her stance as well.
Harry smirked at her and said, "Well, there is a first time for everything.”
Finally, when the death eaters were five metres away, they burst into action. Harry sent a fireball at them, and the middle death eater shielded himself while the other rolled away.
Maria fired an arrow at the death rate on the right side, who "accio"a tree branch and saved himself. But Maria began pressing him relentlessly with spell after spell, sending him on his back foot, and all he could do was defend himself.
Harry, at the same time, was fighting the other two death eaters. He sent water balls at the death eater on his left, who burst the water balls, but Harry used "Glacius"and turned the water into ice spears and banished them to the death eater, who tried to shield from them but still got hit in his legs.
Harry smirked at his cry of pain, but he had to quickly get away from the curse flying towards him. He had almost forgotten about the other Death Eater. He looked at him and saw him firing every spell he could while Harry continued dodging and shielding using "Protego.”
He could see he was frustrating the death eater, and he was getting tired of using continuous spells. When he took a longer break between his spells, Harry pounced and "accioed" the log of tree on the ground behind the death eater and overpowered it.
The log came flying into the back of the death eater, who went skidding away on the ground. Harry turned, not even checking the death eater, and focused back on the previous one, who was back on his feet, holding his injured leg.
With a scream of rage, he fired curses at Harry, but he was too weak and too unbalanced, and not a single curse came close to him.
Harry fired a bone-breaker curse and broke his second leg too sending the death eater to his knees and stunned him.
Maria on the other side was dominating her fight as well; the only reason they were beating her before was because she was outnumbered and was protecting her friend. Now on a 1v1, she showed why she was one of the best DurmStrang duellists.
She used her nimble and athletic body to dance around the death eater; she was dodging his spells and firing at him, hurting his body parts one by one. His one hand was paralysed, one side of his face had a cut mark that was bleeding badly, and he was limping with an injured leg.
Maria decided to finish the fight and fired a blasting curse at him, sending him straight on his back, knocked out.
Harry and Maria turned around and looked at each other after defeating their opponent. He opened his mouth to say something but was stopped by the incantation of the curse he had remembered since he was a year old.
Hermione who was healing Khloe's injured leg, did not even notice the third death eater, who was barely standing on his feet beside her. He fired the curse, and Hermione turned her head and saw the killing curse coming towards her. She was too close and too shocked to conjure a physical shield.
“AVADA KEDAVRA”
Harry felt chills in his spine as he heard the curse that had ruined many of his nights. He saw the killing curse speeding towards Hermione's shocked face, and he acted instantly.
He apparated, tearing the anti-apparation wards covering the campsite, appeared in front of Hermione and conjured a stone slab. The curse hit the slab and shattered it.
Harry used the “Protigo Maxima” to protect them from the stone shreds.
Harry then looked at the shocked death eater with rage in his eyes and yelled, ,”DIFFINDO” The cutting went sailing through the air to the unmoving shocked death eater and cut his whole right arm from the shoulder and half of his mask.
"AHHH!!" the death eater screamed in pain, holding his bleeding face.
Now with his mask off, Harry finally saw the face of the death eater and was shocked to see the pointy face and blonde hair.
"Lucius" Harry growled, seeing the face of one of the people he hates the most.
Lucius, hearing his name, realised his mask was off, and seeing a furious Harry Potter marching towards him, he quickly pulled out the emergency portkey with his left hand from his robe and muttered “purity”.
Before Harry could reach Lucius, he saw him vanish through a portkey.
“Fuck!” Harry cursed and kicked the ground in anger. Regretting not stunning Lucius so that the auror could have arrested him.
But for now, he forgot about that and went to Hermione.
"Hermione, are you alright?” Harry asked in concern.
Hermione broke her stupor and hugged him tightly. "Harry, you saved my life. Thank you so much.” She whispered in tears.
Harry patted her back. "Hey, it was my fault for forgetting about him; if I had made sure of him before, it wouldn’t have happened,” he guiltily replied.
Hermione pulled back and shaked her head, “No Harry, you saved me. I was so close to death and I just froze and didn't even do anything while you reacted so quickly and saved me.”
"No, Hermione it was my fault-“
“ENOUGH!” Maria shouted and stopped their back and forth. “Both of you shut up and listen to me.”
Harry and Hermione shut their mouths quickly.
“Good now,” Maria nodded and pointed at Harry, “Hermione is alive right now because of you. You saved her life even though you think that it was your fault in the first place. Let me tell you, I was with you too and I should not have forgotten about him as well. It was my fault too and what you did was amazing. Hermione is right, how fast you reacted was something only you could do." She finished with a proud smile, which made Harry blush.
“And Hermione," Maria then pointed at her, “don't you dare blame or feel low about yourself just because you froze there. Hell, I was here too Hermione, looking at the curse inching towards you, and even when I froze, I could not even move my muscles, even when I was screaming at myself to move. What happened to you happens to every person who was so close to death except, of course, this brave idiot” she said, pointing at Harry.
Hermione chuckled and wiped her eyes. Harry smiled at Maria, thankful for her interrupting and explaining to them.
"Uh, what are we going to do now?” Khloe asked timidly. She had been looking at the scene with amusement; she could clearly see that both her friend Maria and Hermione loved Harry.
"Well, I guess we wait for Arthur or the aurors to find us,” Harry said.
He then sat beside Hermione and pulled her close with his arm around her waist. Maria smirked at Hermione's blush and plopped on Harry's lap with her legs on her lap, making her blush more.
Harry smiled and shaked his head at Maria's antics. He thought about the event that he experienced the previous day.
It was the most interesting day he had ever had; it started with watching and enjoying the quidditch World Cup final match and ended with him fighting his first fight against death eaters. Harry was glad that he had trained with Sirius this past month.
He could see that he had become leaps and bounds better than before. Because of Sirius training, he did not freeze once in the battle, and his spells were powerful and correctly aimed.
But he knew that they were weak opponents; even Lucius had never been known for his wand prowess. Harry knew there were many wizards and witches more powerful than Lucius, especially Voldemort, and if he wanted to catch up to him, he had to train and become more powerful.
P/S:- Please let me know in the comments if it is okay with you if sometimes a chapter is filled with action and no smut. If you don't like it and want smut in every chapter, don't hesitate to say it; I have no problem with it.
And a hint for the next chapter: let's just say Harry will be getting his prize threesome with Maria and... I don't think I need to tell you about her. 😏

Thank you, that means a lot to me. I wanted to write it in a way that would make it easy for the reader to imagine it. And knowing that I was successful in it makes me very happy. Somehow writing a battle scene came very easily to me, I was able to put my imagination to words quite easily. I am now very excited to write tri-wizard tournament tasks in the future and the other battles that I already have in mind.

To be honest, I have no problem with writing smut every chapter, but I actually really like writing the plot and action in my long stories, but I feared that the readers might not like it. And that's why I asked, because I want to write the story how I and my readers like it.

I like the way this flows. Their does not need to be smut in every chapter. Might take away from the plot to much. Put the smut in where it fits.
