A Simple Change of Mind - Chapter 7

The poll was closed last day, and the results are in, and with no surprises, Tonks is the winner, although not by a big margin as I had expected, as it looked like many of you preferred Katie, and I am happy to know that. Now moving on to his chapter, it's a big one filled with plot as Harry and company go to Hogwarts, and Harry meets some very interesting, beautiful girls along the way. Enjoy!
The red and black engine of the Hogwarts Express was shining, and the smocks blew out as the train was ready to take teens to the magical school of England.
Teens were running around with their friends, and boys and girls were saying their last goodbyes to their parents as they made their way to the train and found the compartment to sit in with their friends.
And among all them was Harry, who was making his own way to the train with Hermione by his side as Ron was being held back with his siblings by his mother, who was giving her own last-minute goodbyes and warnings to the twins, who were completely ignoring her.
Harry was more excited than ever before to go to the place where he first felt at home. He felt like a completely different person who was ready and eager to face what this year had in store for him.
He felt more confident, mature, and stronger going into this year, and his stature showed that as well. He has grown since the last time he saw his classmates. Gone was the average-height, thin, and shy boy; in place was a 6 feet 2 inches tall, well-built Harry Potter who had grown in his features and was standing out among the crowd.
Even his attire gained him more than one look back, as Harry was wearing the dragon hide jacket that was given to him as a birthday gift by Maria, and by the look the female crowd and even some males were giving him, Harry had to agree Maria was right; he did look cooler and hotter in the jacket.

Harry came out of his thoughts as he and Hermione finally found a compartment. He put both of their trunks on the overhead seat, and they both sat down, with Hermione holding Harry's hand.
Just as the train started moving, Ron and Ginny arrived. Ron scowled at them, holding hands, while Ginny sat in the opposite seat by the window with a big exhale.
"Molly sure did take her time, huh?" Harry smirked.
Ginny huffed and rolled her eyes. "You know how she is always telling us what to do and not do when we board the train every single year! And if someone would just listen to her properly and not ogle other girls tits, she might have finished her talk early," she finished while sneering at Ron.
Ron blushed, "Hey! I wasn’t looking at other girls tits," he said defensively.
Hermione snorted. "Yeah, Ron, we all know that," she sarcastically said with a disgusted expression.
"I don-"
"Enough!" Harry cut him off: "Let's not argue right now, shall we?" He said in a firm tone. Ron nodded, and Harry looked at Hermione and Ginny and told them with a look to let the matter go, which they did reluctantly.
After that, the ride passed for half an hour in an awkward silence in which Ginny ignored Ron, Harry read his book on battle transfiguration, and Hermione read her book while she kept giving Ron a stink eye look.
The door of their compartment was suddenly opened, and everyone looked to see the intruder and saw a red-haired, beautiful girl at the entryway of their compartments. Harry recognised her easily as Susan Bones, a Hufflepuff girl in his year.

Susan raised her eyebrow. "Did you forget our meeting? We had decided," she said.
"But I thought we were going to meet at Hogwarts."
"Well, we have decided to meet now; it's important, Hermione," Susan impatiently said, clearly not wanting to say more in front of others. Harry just found the whole conversation amusing and hid his smile behind his book.
"I think you should go, Hermione. Susan has come all the way here to find you; it would be quite rude if you didn't." Harry forced Hermione, who agreed and stood up, to go.
"Thank you, Harry." Susan gave him a grateful smile, and Harry winked, making Susan blush again.
Susan then turned to Ron and Ginny. "It was good to see you as well, Ginny, and, um, Ron," she said, her smile faltering at Ron, who was still looking at her chest.
"Good to see you too, Susan," Ginny replied with an embarrassed smile.
Once Susan left with Hermione, Ginny elbowed Ron hard in the ribs.
"OUCH! What the fuck, Ginny?" Ron cried in pain.
Ginny scowled at him, "You are so disgusting, Ron." She spat and kicked him out of his seat.
Ron cried again in pain, rubbed his sore ribs and bottom, and sat beside Harry, who just ignored him and let Ginny do whatever she wanted with him.
He deserved it anyway for being a creep.
Susan dragged Hermione along, who kept asking where they were going but got no answer back. Finally, after passing dozens of compartments, Susan opened one and pushed Hermione inside.
Hermione stumbled, stopped herself from falling, and heard an irritated voice.
"What took you so long, Susan?"
"She was sitting so far away, I had to look at every compartment." Susan huffed and sat down on the seat.
Hermione looked up and saw the people in the compartment and sighed seeing her three friends.

If there has been one most interesting thing in Hogwarts for the past two years, it has been the friendship between Daphne, Padma, Susan, and Hermione. All four girls, each from a different house, formed a friendship group that may have never been formed before in Hogwarts.
Their friendship started in their second year, when they accidentally met each other in the library. Each of them was trying to study at the same time, so they shared the same table, and from that day on, a study group formed between them in which they all helped each other in any subject they were weak in.
Their study group turned into a regular meeting, and from there, their friendship grew and became as strong as it was today. All four were at the top of not only their house rankings, but they also covered four of the top six ranks of their year too.
Their brains were not the only thing they were good at; their beauty was also the best of their years. Many boys have tried to go after them, but they have always ignored them.
Hermione crossed her arms in annoyance, "Care to tell me why I have been dragged here, Daphne?" She asked the blonde beauty.
Daphne Greengrass was the ice princess of Slytherin. She was a tall girl at 5 feet 9 inches; she was the tallest among her friends. She had long blonde hair flowing up to her waist that she tied into a ponytail. Her face was absolutely beautiful; with her sharp cheekbones, thin eyebrows, pert nose, and grey silver eyes, she was the most beautiful girl in all of Hogwarts.

"About Harry," Padma answered.
Hermione sighed, sat down beside Susan, and looked at the three pairs of eyes staring at her. "What about him?" She tried to act nonchalant.
Daphne pointed her finger at her. "Don't try to act like you don't know what we are talking about," she accused with narrowed eyes.
Padma nodded. "Yes, Hermione, you know that we want to know what happened during the summer break with Harry, like you promised us in your letters."
"And also how Harry turned from a cute boy to a sexy hunk," Susan said huskily with a light pink on her cheeks.
Hermione sighed and thought about why they were so interested in Harry.
Well, being brainy and beautiful were not the only things common between them; all four of them have a crush on Harry. They have never kept it secret among each other, and all of them have known about each other's attraction to Harry Potter since their second year.

She narrowed her eyes at Hermione, "And also tells us what happened between you and Harry this summer, because don't think that I didn't notice you holding hands and leaning towards him in an intimate way." She asked, and Daphne and Padma's eyes widened, and they both stared at her intensely.
Hermione, with a defeated breath, began telling them about what happened in the summer. She didn't tell them about Sirius, as that was Harry's secret to tell, but she did tell them about Harry's Bulgaria summer vacation and Maria.
She then told them about how shocked she was too, just like them, when she saw Harry, and how she had to spend two weeks in torture. Furthermore, she then told them about their World Cup final experience with the after-match battles, Harry saving her, and her unforgettable night with him and Maria. And she finished with their secret adventure at the burrow in the past couple weeks.
She finished and sat back, relaxed, on the seat, and then looked at each of their faces. Padma frowned. "You are right, but how are we going to make Harry fall for us or even notice us?"
Daphne snorted. "You two worry about yourselves; I know exactly what I need to do," she said smugly with a smirk.
"Well, not all of us are total bombshells like you," Susan muttered.
Padma snorted, "You are not the one to talk, Susan; you literally have the biggest boobs in the school; one jiggle of those puppies of yours and boys will fall down at your feet," she said while jealously looking at Susan's tits.

In the other compartment, after Hermione had left with Susan, Harry and Ginny sat talking about duelling and spells for hours while completely ignoring the sulking Ron, who was still rubbing his bruised ribs.
Almost at the halfway point of their journey, their compartment door opened again, and they looked up and saw a petite, beautiful, dirty blonde-haired girl with a Quibbler magazine in her hands standing at the entrance.
Ginny screamed, "Luna," and then ran and hugged the petite blonde girl.
Harry looked at Luna, as he was seeing her for the first time this summer since she was with her father on a vacation to find their own mythical animals.
She was still the same as he remembered her: short, slim, and petite, with her blonde hair loose around her shoulders and a weird earring in her ear. He smiled as he saw Ginny kissing the unique girl, who replied back with the same hunger.
He remembered how Ginny finally, with the help and encouragement of him and Hermione, came out to her family and told them about her relationship with Luna. Arthur, Bill, and Charlie were very supportive and happy, which almost made Ginny cry. Percy was not happy at first, but after the glare from his big brothers, he expressed his support, albeit reluctantly.
Molly, who was the main person they had concern over, was hard to tell if she was happy or not, but after a talk with Arthur and Harry himself, she came around and hugged Ginny, telling her how happy she was for her. Ginny's dam finally broke, and she cried in her mother's arms.
Ron was the only one who openly objected and didn't give his support, even after Hermione and Harry tried to talk him down. He had behaved like a complete and utter dickhead, though unfortunately for him, Ginny didn't even care about his opinion.
Even now, he has not stopped showing his prejudice.
"Will you stop that?" Ron said with a disgusted face.
Ginny broke the kiss and scowled at him. "Stop what, Ron?" she asked with an edge in her tone.
"You know what I mean."
Ginny stepped closer to Ron, who had also stood up. "No, I don't know what you mean, Ron, so why don't you tell me exactly what you want to say? Come on, say it to my face." She challenged him and narrowed her eyes at him.
Ron scoffed. "All I am going to say is, don't do that with her, at least not in front of me."
Ginny's face was red in anger as she stepped closer to Ron and exploded, "First of all, what we were doing is known as kissing, 'k-i-s-s-i-n-g'. Of course, you wouldn't know that, would you? After all, you haven't even kissed anyone, and who would even be stupid enough to kiss a disgusting pig like you?" She mocked him.
Ron was red in embarrassment from her accusation, which was true; he tried to reply back but was cut off by Ginny, who continued exploding at him in her fiery temper she was known for.
"And her name is Luna, which you know very well, so remember to call her by her name next time in front of me, and what we do is between us, and we are free to do so. Mom, dad, and everyone else are happy with my life choices, so you don't have any right to think you can tell me what I can and can't do!" She shouted at his face, pushing Luna back, who was trying to stop her.
Ron's face was redder than ever before, but again, before he could say anything, Ginny continued.
"And let me tell you something, Ron: if you ever tried to control me and come between me and Luna, it may not end well for you. This is my first and last warning to you; I have had enough of your bullshit." She warned him in a threatening voice.
Seeing Ron red with anger and trying to reach for his wand, Harry stopped his hand and stepped between the fighting siblings.
"Don't be stupid, Ron," Harry said in a low tone, and he tightened his grip, making Ron wince in pain.
"Harry, stay out of this-"
"Like hell, I will," Harry snarled at Ron's face. "You were going to attack my friend, Ron. You really think I would let you do that in front of me?"
"Friend! So what am I?" Ron cried.
"Yes, friend Ron, Ginny is my friend too, and she is your sister, whom you were going to attack because of your prejudiced view." Harry said in disgust.
"She is my sister; that's why I can do whatever I wan- AHHH!" Ron cried in pain as Harry tightened his wrist and almost broke Ron's hand.
"Listen to me, Ron." Harry pulled him closer and looked Ron in the eyes with his glowing emerald eyes. "If you ever try to go at Ginny, you have to go through me first, and believe me, Ginny would never harm you as she still considers you a brother, but I won't be as merciful as her; you don't want to know what I will do to you." He hissed his warning and released Ron's hand.
Ron cradled his arm and sobbed in pain as he rubbed his sore arm, and he looked at Harry with fear on his face.
Harry's eyes were glowing in anger, and his body was emitting a powerful aura that made Ron shiver in fear while Ginny and Luna felt safe and protected.
"Take your trunk and go sit in any other compartment, Ron, and think about how you've been behaving the whole summer; maybe it will help you realise your mistake." Harry ordered Ron.
Ron, shivering in fear, quickly took his truck and ran away, finding another compartment far away from Harry.
Harry sighed and closed his eyes. Slowly, all the tension and anger in his body released, and his body relaxed. He turned to Ginny and Luna and apologised, "Sorry about that."
Ginny shook her head. "You have nothing to be sorry for, Harry; in fact, I should thank you for protecting me," she assured him with a smile.
Harry chuckled. "You don't have to thank me for protecting my friend Ginny; that is something I am always ready to do."
Luna nodded. "Believe me, Harry, you can protect me like that anytime. That was so hot to see, I wouldn't mind a repeat performance." She said, in her usual dreamy tone with a hint of lust in her voice.
Harry and Ginny looked at each other and burst out laughing at the typical Luna comment. Leave it to her to make any tense situation relaxed.
After that, Harry took his seat back and began reading his book again. At the opposite seat, Luna sat beside Ginny, and both stared at each other, gossiping about their last month. Draco scoffed at her, "I don't talk with people like you, Mudblood." He spat.
Hermione clenched her wand, but she was stopped by Susan, who grabbed her hand and shook her head.
"Then why are you here?" Daphne asked in a monotone voice, hiding her anger expertly.
Draco grinned as he looked at her. "Ah! Daphne, I was looking for you, and imagine my disgust when I found you in the company of a foreigner, a half-blood, and a mudblood. Tsk, tsk, I expected better from you." He said it in mock disappointment and shook his head.
Padma, Susan, and Hermione bristled at his tone, but they knew this matter was Daphne's and she could handle him herself, so they held themselves back from cursing the Malfoy future line.
"Why did my company of friends matter to you?" Daphne glared murderously at him, and Draco felt a shiver of fear but tried not to show it on his face and just mockingly laughed at her.
"Daphne, you are a pureblood; of course, your company matters, but don't worry; once our fathers sign the contract of our betrothal, you will learn to be in better company with me," he said with an arrogant smirk, leering at her.
Daphne gritted her teeth as she tried her best to keep her emotions in check. She had half a mind to let her friends break every bone in this little shite body, but she knew it would harm her in the future, and she hated it. Fortunately for her, her saviour came in at the right time.
"How is your daddy Lucy going to sign the contract without his right hand, Draco?" There came a voice from outside, and Draco turned around to see Harry leaning against the train window with a mocking smile on his face.
Draco's face turned red. "Wh..what a..are you tal..taking about Potter?" he stuttered in rage.
Harry widened his eyes. "Oh, you don't know that your dear daddy lost his right hand?" he mockingly asked him in an innocent tone.
"My father's right hand is absolutely fine, Potter; stop lying" Draco hissed in anger, his hands twitching for his wand.
Harry smiled and tilted his head. "You think I am lying, Draco?" His smile dropped, and he stepped closer to him and looked down at Draco.
He realised how things had changed and how both of them had changed. Draco had been a bully to everyone, but especially to Harry and his friends, from their first year on. He had always tried to insult and mock him at every opportunity.
Harry had suffered through it for the last three years, but not anymore. He was not going to let a pest like Draco Malfoy irritate him anymore, and that was what he was. Draco had always been only an annoyance for him, a bug who kept annoying him.
But not anymore. He had enough of this little pest. Harry was not going to let Draco bully him or his friends from now on. He wasn't going to beat him, even though he knew he could easily beat Draco and his two goons, but Harry knew that wasn't a good idea. Instead, he was going to humiliate him and give him a final warning.
Harry looked down at the shorter boy in his eyes, "Then let me tell you what happened to your daddy, Draco, because I know he didn't tell you anything because he is too embarrassed." He whispered at the angry and fearful face of Draco, who was rooted in his spot by Harry's glowing eyes.
"It was me who cut your father's right arm and left that mark on his face on the night of the finals when he tried to attack my friend. I broke every bone of your father's friend who was helping him. Your father was lucky enough, or else you would have become fatherless because of me."
Draco's eyes were wide in rage, and his hand was twitching for his wand, but he was rooted at his spot and couldn't even move his fingers. Such was Harry's powerful aura.
Harry saw his hands going for his wand and smirked. "You want to attack me, Draco?" he asked, and then raised his arms and showed his empty hand. "Go on, then attack me." He challenged.
Draco tried to move his body with everything he had but failed as his fear and anger increased seeing the carefree way Harry was acting.
Harry shook his head in disappointment and said, "Draco, Draco, Draco, come on! I am right here in front of you, unarmed. I have given you an open chance to take your revenge for your father, and yet you are not doing anything. I am so disappointed."
He sighed and then glared at Draco with a burning gaze. "Do you want to know why you can't? Because you are a fucking coward, just like your coward father," he hissed.
"You and your father are nothing but fucking cowards. You always insult and mock me and my friends because that's what bullies like you do; you can only bully other people but can't back it up with your action when the time comes, and let me tell you, your time has come, Draco; I've had enough of you and your cronies."
"This is my first and last warning. If you bully me or my friends ever again, I will break every bone in your body and take your right arm so that you can gift it to your father as his birthday present." He warned in a chilling tone that made Draco shiver in fear. His knee was barely holding him from falling down. He could see that this year's Harry Potter wasn't the same as before; he was changed and much more dangerous.
Seeing the fear in Draco's eyes, Harry whispered, "Take your boyfriend and get out of here, Malfoy, before I do it myself".
Draco tried to open his mouth to say something back, but nothing came out. He turned and ran away, hiding his fear, while his bodyguards scratched their heads and followed him.
Harry sighed and, with a smile, turned around. "Hey, all of you, all right?" He asked and saw three different expressions.
Hermione was looking at him with a proud smile and with a look in her eyes that Harry was very familiar with. He then saw Padma and Susan smiling at him with blushes on their faces, and lastly, he saw Daphne, who was looking at him with a hot gaze. She was biting her lips, and he could see her breathing heavily and rubbing her thighs.
He stopped himself from looking at her as he felt his jeans tighten from her look, and he pushed the thought aside to think about her look. Later. He entered the compartment and sat between Susan and Hermione.
"Thank you, Harry; you came at the right time." Hermione grinned.
Daphne nodded. "Yes, Pot-Harry, thank you for that. I appreciate you saving us from him." She expressed her gratitude with a pretty smile that made her face more beautiful in Harry's eyes.
Harry shook his head, "No need to thank me; Hermione's friends are my friends." He replied and received a smile from all the girls.
He then turned serious and asked, "That contract Draco was taking about, is that real?"
Daphne sighed and nodded. "Yes, it is his father; he has been pushing it on my father for many years."
"Will your father sign it?" Harry asked softly.
Daphne shook her head. "My father would never sign it; he hates Malfoy, she replied vehemently.
"Then you have nothing to worry about." Harry smiled and relaxed.
"Why?" Daphne asked with hope.
"Because the only way Malfoy can force your father to sign the contract is if his house is stronger than yours, and everyone knows that Malfoy is politically strong only because of the House Black support, but they are all wrong," Harry said with a smirk.
"But Draco is the House Black heir, so how do they not have their support?" Susan asked, blushing when Harry turned to look at her.
"He wishes," Harry snorted. "He can spread as many lies as he wants, but he can never have this," he said, and he focused on his House Black heir ring, making it visible.
Daphne Susan and Padma gasped in shock, while Hermione just smiled, as she already knew about it.
"You are the heir of House Black," Daphne whispered in awe.
Harry nodded with a grin and made the ring invisible again.
Daphne's eyes teared up as she realised how Harry had saved her from a horrible future. Even though she had always ignored Draco and knew that her father would never agree to the contract, there was always a hint of doubt in her mind about what would happen if her father was pushed and had no other option but to sign it.
But now she was truly free and had no what-if in her mind, and it was all because of Harry Potter. If she hadn't already had feelings for him, Daphne knew she would have fallen in love with him after this.
She looked at Harry's beautiful eyes, which she wanted to lose herself in, and thanked him again. "Thank you, Harry; you have saved me from a very cruel future." Her voice was thick with emotion.
"Hey," Harry smiled softly, "please, I told you there was no need to thank me."
"Yes, Daphne, this is what Harry does every day; he can't go one day without saving a beautiful girl; it's his saving people thing," Hermione teased him.
"That's mean, Hermione," Harry whined with a pout.
The girls laughed at seeing his face, and soon Harry joined them too. From then until the Hogsmeade station, they spent their time talking and laughing. Harry found Padma, Susan, and Daphne very interesting and beautiful in their own ways.
All the girls expect Hermione kept trying to get Harry's attention, but Susan was very lucky with the fact that Harry was sitting right beside her, and she used the chance to rub her breasts over his arms, or at one point she even took his arms and squeezed them between her huge tits. Padma and Daphne kept glaring at her the whole time, while she smirked back at them.
Hermione just hid her smile as she looked at her friend's looks, and Harry's confusion mixed with an aroused expression on his face as he enjoyed his arms being squeezed between Susan's pillows.
Harry left the compartment to change into his school uniform when they were almost at the Hogsmeade, and the girls changed together, being familiar with each other's nude bodies.
Once the train stopped, they stepped on the platform and were immediately hit by the rain. Thankfully, Harry charmed an invisible umbrella around them, which earned him a grateful smile for the girls.
They made their way to the carriages and found an empty one. Harry helped the girls get in one by one, but they forgot about a problem: the carriage had only room for four students.
"Don't worry, I will go in another carriage," Harry assured them, but he was stopped by Padma.
"Um, we could manage; you can sit on my seat and I on your lap if you don't mind." She forced through bravely while blushing.
Harry hesitated but then nodded and sat down at the Padma seat, and then she perched herself on his lap, and the carriage began moving on its way to Hogwarts. There were many different experiences for everyone in the carriage on the whole ride.
Harry tried his best on the whole ride to think about something very unpleasant that could take his mind away from the feeling of Padma's plump ass on his lap. Her cream-caramel legs were right in front of him, and he tried his best to keep his hand from touching and feeling her smooth skin. Safe to say, with the bumps in the ride that kept making Padma's ass bounce on his crotch, it was a torture-filled ride for Harry.
Padma, on the other hand, was enjoying the ride. She was very proud of herself for thinking quickly about this idea before Susan and Daphne did. She was sitting on the lap of her crush with his arms around her, and she sneakily kept sliding back with every bump until she was on his crotch. With her back against his solid chest, she could feel Harry's half-hard shaft under his ass, and she kept bouncing in it, enjoying the feeling.
Hermione, meanwhile, tried her best not to laugh as she saw the glare and jealous look of Susan and Daphne at Padma. Daphne was the angriest because now both Susan and Padma had their fun with Harry and not her.
Finally, they arrived at Hogwarts, and Harry again helped the girls climb down. They then made their way to the Great Hall while dodging the water balloons from Peeves.
Once inside the great hall, Padma and Susan said goodbye and went to their house benches. Daphne, on the other hand, finally took her chance and hugged Harry, rubbing her body against his. Harry, at first surprised, hugged her back, enjoying the feeling of her curvy body.
Daphne pulled back and then gave him a lingering kiss on the cheek. "I hope we get to see each other more this year, Harry." She purred in his ears, and with one last kiss, she made her way to her bench with a sway of her hips.
Harry, who was still confused and mesmerised by her swaying ass, was pulled out of his trance by Hermione, who dragged him to their house bench. He didn't know what had just happened in the last couple of hours, first with Susan in the train, then with Padma in the carriage, and now with Daphne. All he knew was that he liked it and wouldn't mind it again.
He sat down on the bench with Hermione beside him and said hi to his quidditch partners, the chaser trio of Gryffindor Angelia, Alicia, and Katie, who then complimented and teased him about his new look, but Harry was very used to the trio's antics and took their teasing easily; they had been like sisters to him since his first year.
The sorting hat was brought, and he sang his new song and then sorted the students into their houses. After that, Dumbledore stood up and welcomed every student and told them to tuck in.
After everything was eaten and the plates were cleaned, dumbledore stood up again to say his every year usual warnings, and then dropped a bomb that shocked everyone.
"It is also my painful duty to inform you that the inter-house quidditch cup will not take place this year."
"What?" Harry gasped and looked at his quidditch teammates to see them in the same state of shock and surprise as him.
Dumbledore continued over the uproar from the students, "This is due to an event that will be starting in October and continuing throughout the school year, but I am sure you will all enjoy it immensely. I have great pleasure in announcing that this year at Hogwarts-"
He was interrupted by the opening of the great hall door, and everyone turned around to see who had arrived. They saw an old, heavily scarred man standing in the doorway who was leaving on a long staff and had an eye that was moving all around his socket as if it were seeing everything and everyone.
Harry recognised the man from the Sirius story as Allister Moody, or as Sirius called him, 'Mad-eye Moody'. Dumbledore also confirmed it when he introduced him as their new DADA teacher. Harry could tell this year's DADA class was going to be interesting.
Dumbledore then picked up where he left off: "As I was saying, we are to have the honour of holding a very exciting event over the coming months, an event that has not been held for over a century. It is my great pleasure to inform you that the Triwizard Tournament will be taking place at Hogwarts this year."
Then he explained what the Triwizard Tournament was, but Harry zoned out until he heard an interesting piece of his explanation that made his ears alert.
"The Triwizard Tournament is a competitive game played between the three largest European schools of wizardry: Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Dumstrang."
Harry's eyes widened as he heard the name Durmstrang and looked at Hermione, who looked at him with the same surprised and joyful expression. He put his joy aside for now and concentrated on dumbledore.
"So as I told you, in this tournament, three champions, one from each school, will be chosen to compete for the Triwizard Champion title, but this time we have decided to set an age limit of 17 or over, so only students who are of legal age are allowed in the tournament."
A small uproar erupted, but dumbledore continued, "I know you may feel unfair, but rest assured in this tournament, this is not the only opportunity to compete, as this year there will also be three different competitions between all three schools of quiz, quidditch, and duelling that will also take place here at Hogwarts. You will be informed of the dates and times when the qualifications for all three competitions take place."
"And one last thing: the delegations from Beauxbatons and Durmstrang will be arriving in October and remaining with us for the greater part of this year. I know that you will all extend every courtesy to our foreign guests while they are with us and will give your wholehearted support to the Hogwarts champion when he or she is selected. And now, it is late, and I know how important it is to you all to be alert and rested as you enter your lessons tomorrow morning. Bedtime! Chop chop!"
Harry still can't believe what he just heard. He was excited about the tournament and its competition, and he was definitely going to take part in it to test himself, but right now there was only one thing on his mind.
He was going to meet Maria, and she was going to stay with him at Hogwarts for the whole year. Now he knew why Sandra was teasing him and Maria. She already knew about the tournament.
He was pulled out of his thoughts by Hermione's shaking of his shoulder.
"Harry, we should go too; almost everyone is gone." she said
Harry looked around and saw that she was right. The hall was almost empty. He nodded and stood up to go with her, but they both were stopped by a stern voice behind them.
"Mr. Potter"
They turned around and saw Professor McGonagall standing in her usual stiff posture with a stern face.
"Professor, it's so good to see you after two months." Harry smiled, and Hermione nodded in greeting as well.
"It's good to see you two as well; you have changed quite a bit during the break." She greeted them back and looked at him up and down with a hint of sadness in her eyes, as if she remembered someone.
"And you look as beautiful as before; you really don't seem to age at all, professor; what is your secret?" Harry charmingly replied with a cheeky smile, while Hermione tried not to laugh.
Minerva's lips curled into the tiniest of smiles, and she shook her head. "Just like you, father," she sighed.
Harry shrugged. "Well, I'm his son." He then asked, "Did you call me for something, professor?"
Minerva nodded, "I did," and then handed him a parchment slip and said, "Headmaster Dumbledore, send this for you."
Harry took it and smiled, "Thank you, professor."
"I want both of you to enter this year's competitions, is that clear?" Minerva said in a firm voice.
Harry and Hermione assured her, and with one last nod and a smile, she went to her private quarters.
Harry opened the slip and read the message from Dumbledore.
"What is it?" Hermione asked
"The headmaster wants me to meet him in his office." Harry answered
Hermione raised an eyebrow in surprise and said, "On the first day of school."
Harry shrugged, "I guess he wants to talk about something important, to be honest. I wanted to meet him anyway, so it's good that he invited me himself."
He looked at Hermione and smiled, "You go to the tower; I will come back after I meet him."
Hermione nodded, quickly gave him a hug, and went to the Gryffindor tower.
Harry also made his way in the opposite direction, towards Dumbledore’s office, eager to hear what the headmaster wanted to say to him and for the answers to the questions Harry wanted to ask him.

Also, I am writing a new story on Harry time-travelling to the Marauders era, and now I want to know your choice between whether you want Harry to be a student or a teacher. Obviously, he will only be a couple of years older than the 7th year students if you choose him as a teacher.

We are both in the same boat, I have never liked Ron as well. His jealousy has always irked me, and him abandoning Harry in deathly hallows was something that made me hate him. In this story though I feel I don't care about him, I don't want to spend words bashing him that's why I put that little part there and from now on Ron will be more of a background character who would only get mentioned here and there.

awesome chapter :) the story is really picking up nows. one thing i will say is that ron is going to be a problem of sorts lol. one that id rather see handled sooner then later rather then drawing it out. harry doesnt need ron and ron will not change so no reason to overfocus on it other then resolving things and ending there friendship. ( i never really liked ron in books or movies. i always felt harry deserved a so called better best mate. so yeah i dislike ron xD)
