Different yet The Same World - Chapter 1

Don't worry; when you read it, you will find out. In my after-chapter note, you will find out what the pairings of this story are that I have decided. I hope you all will love this, and please tell me your opinion in the comment section.
Deep in the depths of the British Ministry of Magic, two titans of their own generation were fighting each other. Spells were being thrown around, blasting rocks and walls that were transfigured back.
It was chaos, a battle that had been going on for half an hour, and yet the two powerhouses were going at each other.
They were in the deepest part of the building inside, where the veil of death was situated, and interestingly, even as they fought and threw curses everywhere and destroyed everything in their way, the veil was still untouched and unaffected, standing strong as if every spell was bypassing it, leaving it unscathed.
On one side of the veil was the dark lord Voldemort himself, with his inhuman snake-like features twisted in rage and body exhausted with the long battle, still fighting, not wanting to lose to the one person that had been a thorn in his side and matched him more than even Albus Dumbledore ever did.
Harry dodged and weaved around the dark spells that would kill him if one touched him, but that didn't mean he was on the defensive; in fact, it was Harry who had been on the front for the whole battle, but the battle fatigue was starting to affect him as well.
But he was not going to stop until he finally killed the monster that he had been trying to kill for three years now.
It has been three years since the Battle of Hogwarts, a battle in which the light side fought against the dark side.
After finally destroying each of the seven horcruxes, Harry was ready to kill his parents murderer.
It was a moment that he had been waiting for all his life, and he had almost accomplished it when both of their wands connected. Harry thought he had won since the death stick in Voldemort was his, but then the unexpected happened.
Rodolphus Lestrange, when he saw his master losing against Harry Potter, jumped straight between the connected spells of Harry and Voldemort, sacrificing himself, and created a huge explosion that blasted everyone off their feet.
When the dust had settled, Harry stood up and looked around for Voldemort, but the dark lord was already gone. Saved by his servant's sacrifice, he had gotten another chance in life that he didn't deserve.
Harry's anger had turned to sadness as he looked around the ruin Hogwarts had become, and when he looked for his friends, he found out that most of them were dead. He found Ron George Neville and many others dead.
When he saw Hermione Luna and Ginny's dead bodies together, a memory of them fighting together against Bellatrix came to his mind, and before he could look for the mad woman's dead body, he heard a rumble of rock.
He looked to where the sound came from and saw someone struggling under a big piece of debris. Harry ran, and with a light flick of his wand, he had pushed the debris away, and what he had seen had filled him with a burning rage.
Bellatrix Lestrange, the witch who had killed his godfather, was still alive and breathing but very injured. feeling the murdering intent in him rising, seeing the black-haired witch Harry had thrust his wand at her, and the spell of killing curse was on his lips, but he couldn't do it.
He had tried to push his body to move and even screamed at himself to utter the two syllables that would have taken the life of the witch that had been the cause of Harry’s nightmares for the last two years.
But as he saw the bruised and injured state of Bellatrix, who looked like she was on the doorstep of death, something in him stopped Harry from killing her.
Even though he absolutely hated himself, Harry did something he never would have thought he could: he took the injured body of Bellatrix with him to the Grimmauld place, where he requested Kreacher to heal the former black, which he did gladly.
Harry had been very busy for the next week after the battle. He had looked everywhere and found out that even though most of the witches and wizards who participated in the battle were dead, some were still alive. He had met with everyone who was alive and tried his best to give them everything they needed for their recovery.
After the battle, the whole ministry was down since the majority of aurors and ministry workers were in the battle and not enough were left alive to make the ministry work. Even Voldemort and his few minions who had survived had gone underground.
Even though Harry had tried his very best to find the no-nose bastard to kill him once and for all, he couldn't. It was like the riddle had gone off the face of the earth.
Defeated after two weeks of failure in finding him, Harry returned to Grimmauld's place and found a shock waiting for him. Bellatrix was awake.
In his frustration and anger from the empty search, he had almost killed the unsuspecting witch if not for Kreacher, who had stopped him at the last moment.
He was shocked and felt betrayed by the elf, as he had thought Kreacher was finally loyal to him. Harry had half a mind to kill the elf as well.
But what Kreacher said next stopped Harry dead in his tracks.
"Young master, please don't kill Mistress Bella when she is finally back."
That one statement from Kreacher had Harry shocked and confused; he didn't know what Kreacher meant by Bella being finally back. When he ordered the elf to explain, he was shocked by what he heard.
Harry found out how a young witch was sacrificed by her own family for political gain. Kreacher explained to him how Bellatrix was betrothed, against her will, to Rodolphus Lestrange.
After seeing how rebellious Bellatrix was against their decision, her own father forced her to sign the contract that took her will away from her and basically made her a slave to Lestrange's wishes.
By the time she had gotten engaged, Bellatrix had changed, according to Kreacher; she went from a kind, mischievous, and fun girl to the mad woman Harry had known her as.
Harry dismissed this at first; he didn't want to believe it. He thought that Kreacher was lying to him again, just like he had done in his fifth year, but when he looked at Bellatrix, he didn't see an unhinged witch; instead, he saw a confused, scared woman.
For the next six months, Harry threw himself into rebuilding the British wizarding world and tried his best to completely ignore Bellatrix, but that wasn't possible since they both lived in the same house.
Even though he still believed that the Kreacher had lied to him, that belief kept crumbling when he noticed how changed Bellatrix was.
He found out she had forgotten everything between the time she signed the contract and the time she finally came back to her own senses. Finally, after six months, Harry accepted defeat and realised Kreacher was right.
In the next six months, Harry finally gave in and began taking her, which Bellatrix was very happy about. And even though he didn't want to accept it, the real sane Bellatrix was very fun to be with.
Harry didn't know when they went from making small talk to full-blown conversation about each other's histories, but Bellatrix became the only person who actually put a smile on his face after the battle.
But then came the first anniversary of the battle, and when everyone was ready for the memorial of the people who had fallen in the battle, Dark Lord Voldemort came back.
Harry was ready for an emotional day, but what he got was another battle against the monster. It seems that Voldemort had a full year to get back to his best and enforce his army, and he chose the special day to announce himself back.
But unfortunately for him, Harry and the survivor fought back against them vehemently to take revenge for their fallen people.
It was a battle just like the previous one, but during his fight against Riddle, Harry realised something: in the battle of Hogwarts, he had almost won against Riddle, but it wasn't because he was more powerful; instead, it was only because of his luck that Riddle was using the death wand that was not his to use, and because of that, Harry was able to overpower him at that time.
But in this fight, he found out how inferior in magical fighting skills he was to Riddle; he got completely outclassed, and if it weren't for the hiding Bellatrix who had come with him for the memorial, he would have died that day.
Bellatrix joined him in the fight against Riddle, who was too shocked to see her and was almost killed by her. Somehow, again showing his extraordinary skills, he managed to fight against both of them and flee from sight, leaving a destroyed memorial behind.
After that fight, Harry had put his focus on one thing only: getting more powerful than Riddle so that he could finally beat him, and for that, he asked Bellatrix for help, who at first was shocked but eventually agreed, and just like that, Harry's training to become stronger began.
During the next one and a half years, Harry trained himself thoroughly, day after day, with the help of Bellatrix, and honed his fighting skills and technique.
And with the help of the Black Library, he expanded his spell repertoire. He finally realised how wrong he was to divide magic into light and dark when, in truth, magic is magic and it's only your intent that makes a difference.
During his training, Voldemort kept attacking different parts of Britain, even the muggle, and every time escaping from Harry and Bellatrix, which only resulted in both sides losing fighters.
But one day, everything changed. Voldemort had attacked again, and Harry and Bellatrix got there as quickly as possible, but what they didn't know was that it was a trap; they were ambushed when they arrived from all sides, and even though they fought back and killed almost all of them, Voldemort got the last laugh as he killed Bellatrix right in front of Harry.
Seeing that Harry went berserk and destroyed everything, he killed every single death eater left, and Voldemort was only able to flee by hiding behind his servants.
When he saw the dead body of Bellatrix and felt his heart break, Harry became aware of how close she had become to him.
From the mad witch that he hated, she had become a friend; he also remembered how she wanted to be more than just his friend, but Harry had never crossed that line, which he regretted now.
After that, for the next six long months, Harry did nothing but relentlessly look for Voldemort to kill him with his own hand, and it finally bore fruit when he found out how he had been hiding in the underground ministry.
And here he was now, fighting the monster for the past hour to finally take his revenge for the countless murders Voldemort had committed.
His two-year-long training was showing its effect, as Harry had been able to easily deal with anything Voldemort had thrown at him. He was outclassing Voldemort, but there was a feeling at the back of his head as if there was something he didn't know.
Harry dodged the black fireball from Voldemort, which burned the rock behind him. He quickly retaliated by transfiguring the rock debris into a flock of birds and sending them to Voldemort.
Voldemort turned the rock birds into shrapnel and blasted them back to Harry, who conjured a wall of water that stopped all the shrapnel, but he wasn't done. Harry turned the wall of water into a giant water Thestral and attacked Voldemort.
Tired after fighting for the last hour, Voldemort wasn't fast enough to dodge and got hit by the water Thestral, sending him flying back to the wall behind him and breaking his back, but Harry wasn't satisfied enough; he turned the Thestral into a water ball and trapped Voldemort inside of it.
He then compressed the water ball and broke every bone in Voldemort's body. He screamed in pain but wasn't heard by anyone. Harry burst the ball, sending the crushed body of the Dark Lord down on the rocks.
Voldemort tried to move his hand to use his wand, but he screamed in pain as Harry stepped on it.
"AHHH!"
Harry leaned down closer to the screaming wizard. "It's over, Tom; I won," he said, crushing his hand more.
"AH" riddle howled in pain again and looked at the glowing eyes of Harry.
"I told you, didn't I, that I would be the one who would kill you, and look here you are defeated under my feet where you belong," Harry whispered with his magic rolling of his body and power in his voice, making riddle shiver in fear for the first time in a long time.
"You..r..right..potter" Riddle coughed blood from his mouth. "Yo..you..defeated..me..b..but..i..am..not..surprised..you..are..my..equal..just..like.. the...prophecy said."
Harry raised an eyebrow. "Am I hearing this right? The most arrogant bastard ever born is praising me?" he asked in surprise.
Riddle chuckled, "Well, I..am..a..Slytherin..I know..what to..say..to catch..rival..off..guard.." His lips curled into an evil smile.
Harry's eyes widened, and he turned around to look and saw in every direction to check if he had missed something, but then realised his mistake, but it was already too late.
"eu ritum"
He heard the whisper of a spell and turned to see the Riddle using his last strength to clutch his wand and enchant the spell as he touched a writing on the floor Harry just saw.
Rapidly after the riddle enchantment, the white light spread through the room as the magic flowed through, and the runic combination covering the floor lit up, starting a ritual Harry was completely unaware of.
He looked down and saw the gleeful face of the Riddle, and he pulled him towards his face with his robes. "What did you do?" Harry hissed in rage.
Riddle just laughed at his face, spitting his blood all over Harry's shirt.
"I had enough of you keeping trying to kill me, Potter, so I looked for a solution and found an ancient ritual that sends its user to the past." He coughed up more blood. "But you just had to come earlier than I expected and ruin everything, but now I'm going to take you Potter with me. If I'm going to die here, you are dying with me together, just like we are destined," Riddle said, laughing like a mad man.
Harry greeted his teeth and punched him in the face, sending him back to the rock and breaking his face more, but Riddle didn't care about the pain anymore; he just kept laughing even though he coughed more blood.
Harry looked at the runic matrix and realised Riddle was right; it did look like an incomplete runic combination, and everyone, even the one who didn't know anything about runes, knows how dangerous an incomplete rune is. He was going to die here with Riddle unless he did something.
He looked at the runes and tried to find one link through which he could stop the whole ritual, but even with his mastery of the runes, he didn't have enough time to check the whole combination. He tried spells and everything he knew he could to break the ritual, but failed.
Just when he almost accepted his fate to die here, Harry heard something.
It was like a whisper, like someone calling. Even with the ground rumbling and breaking and riddle laughter in the background, he still heard it clearly. He turned to the sound and saw the death veil rippling more than he had ever seen before.
He went to the veil and looked through the rolling waves; he felt as if someone was calling him from inside of it. He waved his hand around the veil and felt the waves of magic rolling through it, and for some unknown reason to him, it felt very familiar to Harry, as if it were his own magic, yet different.
Harry had done many stupid and reckless things in his life, but in this situation of facing his impending death, he decided to do one last courageous thing.
He was already aware that he was going to die here anyway under the explosion of ritual, but he wasn't going to give riddle the satisfaction that it was his ritual that took Harry Potter's life.
So with one last look around the falling building, Harry took a deep breath and jumped into the veil. Riddle, who was still laughing, saw him jump into the veil, tried to stop him but couldn't, and saw Harry Potter kill himself.
Riddle screamed in rage as once again Potter had defeated him; he couldn't even die more with the satisfaction that he had killed Harry Potter, but he didn't have any time to vent his rage as a boulder came flying down and crushed the dark lord.

Harry opened his eyes and slowly came to his senses. "Fuck," he muttered, feeling the soft bed he was lying on. "Where am I? Is this heaven? Will I see the old man again?" He asked no one but himself, or he thought he did.
"You are in your bedroom, young master," a voice said from his right.
Harry gasped, sat up, and looked at where he heard the voice from. He saw an old house elf who was dressed in some of the best clothes he had ever seen an elf wear.
"Who are you?" Harry asked.
"I am Stobby, your elf, master," the elf named Stobby said and bowed low.
Harry chucked, "I have an elf in the afterlife."
Stobby shook his head, "You are not dead, master."
Harry frowned. "What do you mean I am not dead? I-" He stopped as he pinched himself and felt the pain, confirming that he wasn't indeed dead. "Wa...wait, how did I come here?" he asked in total confusion.
"Stobby brought you here, master. I found you on the doorstep of the manor. You were injured, but I healed you, master," Stobby said, puffing his chest in pride.
Feeling a headache coming from the confusion, Harry groaned and rubbed his face, but stopped in shock. He dabbed his eye and looked at the table beside him.
"Where are my glasses?" He asked the elf.
Stobby shook his head. "I didn't find any glasses, master; you came here without one."
Harry looked at his hands and surroundings in astonishment. He could clearly see everything without his glasses; in fact, he could see better than ever. He threw the sheet off and ran to the bathroom, looked at himself in the mirror, and gasped.
Whoever he saw in the mirror looking back at him with a surprised expression was the same Harry Potter, yet different.
Not only didn't he need his glasses anymore to see, but he was also now taller than before. Because of his childhood at the Dursleys, his height was stunted, and because of that, even after reaching his majority, Harry was only 5 feet 10 inches tall, but now he was at least 6 feet 2 inches tall, almost 4 inches taller than before.
And the differences didn't stop there; his body, which was still very fit as before, was now leaner and more defined; even his shoulders were a bit widder, but he still had all his scars as he touched the basilisk one on his arm.
His facial features were the same, except his cheekbones were higher now and his jaw was as sharp and angular as before, which was just like his grandmother, Bellatrix, had told him.
He looked at his forehead to see his scar, but instead noticed how much longer his hair had become. He ran his hand through his hair and found it silkier and less messy than before. Thankfully, his eyes were the same emerald green.
As he looked himself over one last time, Harry could say that the people who knew him would not be able to recognise him at first glance.
But all these minimal changes just made him more confused, and his head hurt more.
Somehow he hasn't died even after he jumped into the veil of death, which was the literal purpose of that magical device. And if that wasn't enough, he found himself in a manor with a personal elf of his own, and now he finds out his body has changed—not by much, but there are still noticeable changes.
Harry took a deep breath to calm himself down. There was no need to panic; he had to find as much information as he could to solve this puzzle, and for that, he should ask Stobby where he was first.
He walked out of the bathroom, saw the elf still standing dutifully for him, and asked him, "Stobby, where am I? What I mean by that is, What manor is this?".
"You are in the Peverell Manor, master," Stobby answered, pointing to the wall at the head of the bed.
Harry's eyes widened as he saw the deathly hollows sign on the wall. He knew that sign very well, more than anyone ever did, even more than Dumbledore. During his year of training, he found a book on the wizarding family and looked for pevereel in it, but what he found was very minimal.
All that was recorded in the book about Peverell was everything Harry had already known about how they were a very ancient family, with some even claiming that they were one of the first wizarding houses.
They were very feared, and no one even knew why. All they knew was that the Peverell’s were the most feared family in history.
And of course the tales of the Peverell brothers, some of whom were claimed to be the last living Peverells, and since their deaths no living member of the feared family has been found, which Harry knew was wrong since the potters and gaunt were literally from the Peverell line.
But what was very confusing to Harry was that he had never even heard of Peverell Manor and that there was literally a house elf who was casing him as his young master and this manor owner, which technically made him the head of house Peverell.
He turned to the stobby and asked in confusion, "How do you know that I am our master or the lord of this manor?"
Stobby blinked at him as if he were asking something very stupid: "Master Stooby knows that you are his master because I can feel your magic; it links me to you and tells me that you are my master, and the ring on your finger proves that you are the Lord Peverell." He replied with respect in his voice and looked at the ring with awe.
Harry looked at the ring he was pointing at and realised Stobby was talking about the resurrection ring, one of the three dearly hallowed items that Harry had with him. He couldn't believe that just because of this one ring, he had become Lord Peverell.
But right now he had much more to worry about, and he needed to know what was going on in the outside world. With that thought, he asked Stobby.
"Will you please bring today's daily prophet, Stobby?"
Stobby nodded, "Master, you only need to order me, and I will get it done," and then, with just a click of his finger, the paper was in his hands, "here, master."
"Thank you." Harry thanked him and took the paper from his hands and opened it to read, and he once again found himself shocked.
He looked all over the paper again and again, but it didn't matter how many times he tried; the news in the paper remained the same.
The daily prophet had become nothing but the bearer of bad news for Harry for the last four years, as it always covered only the news of the deaths that happened every day because of Voldemort.
But what he was seeing in this paper was nothing like that; everywhere he looked, he only found happy news or ads for new shops, which made Harry more puzzled because those same shops he remembered were destroyed in the war.
A sudden chill spread through Harry's body as a dreadful thought formed in his mind. With a racing heart, he looked at the top of the paper to check today's date, and he dropped the paper in shock and stood rooted with his wide eyes fixed on the date.
17 August, 1976
26 years!! He had gone back twenty-six years. Harry stood there in shock, blinking like an owl, as his mind raced to really digest the truth that somehow he had time travelled to the past.
Still not believing it or not wanting to accept the truth that was literally on his face, Harry wandlessly summoned his wand and shot a ‘depulso’ on his hand, making a cut deep enough to bleed.
"YOUNG MASTER"
Ignoring Stobby's concerned scream, Harry looked at the blood fleeing from the cut on his hand and dripping down to the floor. It was proof that he wasn't in an illusion or under any mind magic; he was, in fact, twenty-six years in the past.
His cut was already healing thanks to the Phoenix years in his blood. Stobby saw the cut healing and breathed a sigh of relief, but Harry's mind wasn't there; he was still sitting shocked, his mind far away.
He needed answers. There were too many questions in his mind that were bouncing around without any solution, which he desperately needed, and he knew there was only one person in the world who could have the answers to his questions.
He knew he had to share his problem and his whole past with someone who could help him find the solution to his situation, and there was only one person for that, and even though he didn't trust him as much as he might have once upon a time, he was still his only way to find the solution to his problem.
And with that thought in mind, Harry told Stobby he was going outside for something important, said his goodbyes to the dutiful elf, and made his way out of the manor.
If it had been any other day, Harry would have stood to admire the beautiful manor, but right now there was only one thing on his mind, and with that, he closed his eyes once he was out of the manor wards and apparated to the first place he called home.
With a silent swish of the air, Harry appeared right outside the gate of Hogwarts. He opened his eyes and, after 3 years, finally looked at the untouched and unharmed Hogwarts that hadn't suffered through the war like his Hogwarts did.
He saw someone coming towards him, and as the person got closer and bigger, Harry looked in shock as he saw the first friend he had ever made in the magical world.
Hagrid
The half-giant was just like Harry remembered, but 26 years younger. He held his emotions back and met his first friend.
"Whatcha doing here, young fella?" Hagrid asked in his jolly tone.
Harry smiled and respectfully said, "It's nice to meet you, Mr. Hagrid."
Harry knew he would have to manipulate Hagrid, and he felt disgusted with himself, but he was aware that if he had to meet with Dumbledore, he had to play with Hagrid's weakness to get his meeting with the headmaster.
Hagrid's eyes widened. "M..Mr. Hagrid, you called me Mr. Hagrid," the half giant said in shock.
Harry nodded. "Of course you are quite famous, especially with how good you are with magical creatures; you definitely deserve my respect," he said with a voice filled with admiration.
Hagrid's eyes watered. "No one has ever said such good words to me." He sobbed and blew his running nose into a tablecloth with a loud voice, scaring the birds away.
He put the dirty cloth back in his pocket and looked at Harry with a huge grin. "You came here for something, dintchu," Hagrid said, thumping his big chest with his big hand. "Then ask, and Hagrid promised he would make it happen."
Harry shook his head and raised his hand. "No, no, don't worry, nothing outrageous. I just wanted to meet with Headmaster Dumbledore," he asked politely.
Hearing his request, Hagrid's face changed into a serious one: "If you don't have an appointment with the headmaster, I can't let you in." Harry knew he had to try harder to melt the half-giant.
He turned his expression into a sad and desperate one. "Please, Hagrid, I really need to meet with the headmaster; it's very urgent. I am in a very big problem, and I need his help," he half-lied and begged him.
After seeing his desperation and hearing him plead, Hagrid finally melted and, with a sigh, opened the gate, "Alright, come on in. You are the first person other than the headmaster to treat me respectfully; it's the least I could do for you."
Harry grinned, "Thank you so much, Hagrid. Believe me, I won't let you regret it."
And with that, Hagrid led the way to the headmaster's office, with Harry following right behind him.
They made their way with Hagrid, telling stories of every single place and room of Hogwarts, with Harry half listening to him as his mind was focused on what was going to happen in Dumbledore's office.
They finally arrived at the gargoyles, which were the entrance to the headmaster's office, and Hagrid said the password, which unsurprisingly was KitKat.
They then climbed the spiral staircases and arrived at the office, and just as Hagrid was about to knock, a voice came from inside.
"Come in, Hagrid."
With the permission given, without even knocking, Hagrid opened the door and stepped inside. Dumbledore smiled upon seeing the school gatekeeper, but then his smile turned confusing as he saw Harry following in after Hagrid.
Hagrid stepped forward and said, "Headmaster, this young man wanted to immediately meet you."
Dumbledore smiled, "Then good job in bringing him here." He praised him, and Hagrid puffed his chest in pride. "Now you could leave; you already have so many things to do."
Hearing the dismissal, Hagrid nodded and, sending a smile to Harry, left the office.
Dumbledore leaned forward with his fingers interlaced. "Now, young man, what is it that you needed to meet me so urgently?" He asked with a kind tone.
Instead of answering him, Harry looked around the office. Even though he had more bad memories than good ones of this place, it was still one of his favourite magical places because of its uniqueness and the strange beauty that always captivated him.
"It's been years since I last saw this office, or at least since I last saw this office unharmed and not destroyed," Harry melancholy said, confusing Dumbledore with his words.
He then looked at the red phoenix sitting on his stand. This same majestic bird had once saved his life, or was it, will save his life now? He didn't know, but all he knew was that Fawkes was one of the reasons he was still alive.
He moved towards the mythical bird, who looked at him curiously and scratched his neck, making the bird preen.
He then finally looked at Dumbledore, who was looking at him with a shock on his face, seeing him make his familiar melt under his touch so easily. Harry smirked; already, without even telling his story, he had shocked the great Albus Dumbledore.
"I don't understand what you mean, young man. Can you at least tell me your name?" Dumbledore asked in a firm tone.
Harry nodded and sat down in the guest chair. "Well, to be honest, I don't even know who I am anymore, but the last I remembered, I was Harry Potter, the son of James Potter and Lily Evans, born on July 31, 1980," he said while looking straight into the eyes of Dumbledore and waiting for what he knew was going to happen next.
And just as he finished telling his parents names and day of birth, he felt the probe on his mind he had predicted from the beginning, and with a practised ease like swatting a fly, he swatted the Dumbledore probe from his mind.
Dumbledore skidded back into his seat from the force of his mental push and looked at him with wide eyes.
"I really don't like people invading my mind, headmaster. I am too used to your tricks, believe me," Harry dryly said with a hint of anger.
"I am sorry, Mr. Potter, but after what you just told me, I had to check if you were lying or not," Dumbledore apologised.
"First, don't call me Mr. Potter; I don't even know if I am a Potter anymore; just call me Harry, and second, you don't have any right to check people's memories without their permission," Harry stated and set back with his arms crossed.
Dumbledore nodded. "Again, I am really sorry, Harry, but you have to look at it from my position. You just dropped the bomb on me that somehow you have come from the future and are the son of two of my students. I really don't know how you can prove to me what you are saying."
"I know that as much as I don't trust you anymore like I did when I was a kid, you are still the only person who can help me." Harry sighed
He then sat straight and looked intensely into Dumbledore's eyes. "That's why I am giving you my permission to look into my memory and see my whole life for yourself; you will find out I am not lying," he said firmly.
"Are you sure?" Dumbledore asked.
Harry nodded. "As I said, even though I don't trust you that much, I still trust you enough to show my memories."
Dumbledore smiled, then leaned forward and dug straight into Harry's mind. With his shield opened, Harry then showed his whole life to the headmaster.
After a couple of minutes, Harry finally gently pushed Dumbledore from his mind as the memory ended. Both sat back in their chairs, and Dumbledore took his time to digest what he just saw, while Harry rubbed his head in slight annoyance, which happens all the time when he lets someone into his mind.
After a long silence, Dumbledore finally broke it.
"What a remarkable lie you have lived, Harry," he whispered in awe.
Harry snorted, "Yeah, remarkable. I really loved the remarkable life I have lived.” He sarcastically said, thinking about what was remarkable about his painful life.
Dumbledore shook his head, "Please, Harry, don't take what I say the wrong way. What I meant was that I was impressed by how you have already done so many remarkable things in your young life.
"I really don't care about the things I have achieved in my life, Albus. I came here to you because you are the only one who is knowledgeable enough to help me, so please do that instead of singing my praise," Harry said irritatingly.
Dumbledore chuckled as he heard a young man like Harry call him by his name. It felt good since no one except his own colleagues called him by his name.
"Alright Harry, if I am not wrong, you want answers to mainly two of your biggest questions right now, which are: how did you survive the death veil, and how have you gone back in time? Am I right?" Dumbledore asked, raising his eyebrow.
Harry nodded
"Good, so I have some ideas and guesses as to why those two things happened to you, but as I said, these are just my guesses, not confirmation, and I could be wrong too."
"Albus, you are the most intelligent and knowledgeable witch or wizard I have ever met, and 99% of your guesses turn out to be true, so tell me what you think," Harry said in a deadpan tone.
Dumbledore blushed, "You flatter me, Harry. I don't think I am worthy of such praise."
When he looked at the deadpan face of Harry Dumbledore, he coughed and got back to the topic.
"So yes, first of all, Harry, why are you so sure that you've gone back in time?" Dumbledore asked.
Harry's eye twitched. "What do you mean I literally proved it to you and you are still asking me that?" he said in agitation.
Dumbledore, however, remained unfazed. "Alright then, Harry, tell me, as I saw in your memory from the time you came from, there was no record of Peverell's or their manor, were there?" He asked.
Harry shook his head. "Nothing at all. I even went to the goblins and found out that Peverell was a very old house whose vaults were already closed by the goblins and no one knew anything about them."
Dumbledore nodded, "exactly, which means from the time you came from there was nothing about Peverell at all, but now in this time where you have just arrived you are a Peverell, which would explain your change in look and your status as Lord Peverell."
"I guess so," Harry said uncertainly, still not seeing what Dumbledore wanted to show him.
"Good now, tell me, what do you think is your parents age right now?" Dumbledore asked and raised his hand, seeing Harry's irritated face. "Please just answer me."
Harry sighed "Well, since my parents were born in 1960, they would be 16 years old and would be in their 6th year this year."
Dumbledore smirked, "You're wrong."
"W..W..What do you mean I am wrong?" Harry stuttered in confusion.
"In this world, James Potter and Lily Evans were born in 1958 and are 18 years old, although you were right about them being in their 6th year this term," Dumbledore answered, and then sat in silence as he let Harry realise what he meant.
Harry's mind was running faster than it ever had with what he just found and everything he had seen in this world, and then finally, as he recalled the runes Riddle had used in the ritual, he came to a sudden conclusion and realised what Dumbledore was trying to tell him.
"No.." He whispered and wide-eyed looked at Dumbledore, "Y.. you seriously don't think that instead of time travelling, I have travelled to another different world?"
Dumbledore shrugged. "Another world, or, as I prefer to call it, an alternative dimension, and if you ask me, I think it's better like this than time-travelling Harry."
Harry sneered, "And why would you think throwing me into an alternative universe is better than going back in time?"
Dumbledore took no offence to his harsh time and calmly explained, "Harry, from what I have seen from your memories, except for the fact that you are now here as a Peverell and the change in ages, everything else is exactly the same in both of the universes, and if you had travelled back in time in your world, you wouldn’t have been able to change anything, but here you could change anything you want."
Harry furrowed his brow in confusion. "How?"
"Because, as I said, Harry, according to the law of time magic, you can't change anything if you travel back in time, or else you face the danger of erasing the future, which in turn could lead to you being never born or being competently erased from the time line, but in the alternative universe, there is no such problem as you have come from a completely different world rather than the future of this world." Dumbledore finished explaining and let it sink in for Harry.
Harry sat in deep thought and looked at the clear sky outside through the window. His mind wandered back to his third year, where he and Hermione had time travelled to save Buckbeak. He remembered how she had told him to change nothing in history, and it was for that reason that he didn't capture the rat at that time.
He finally realised how right Dumbledore was; he now actually had a chance to change the future and save the innocents from getting killed by the death eaters and their leader, Tom Riddle himself. He has a chance to kill Tom much earlier.
With Harry finally agreeing and accepting his fate, Harry, with a newfound resolve, looked at Dumbledore and nodded with determination to face whatever this new world was going to throw at him.
Dumbledore smiled at seeing the determined face of Harry and felt pride for the young man, who was already ready to take on the burden he had just been freed of. To think that he didn't even know Harry half an hour earlier, but now he was feeling happy and proud for him.
"Since we have already solved one problem, what about my second one? How am I even alive right now when I should be dead since I literally jumped into the veil of death?" Harry asked.
Dumbledore sighed "I think the answer is very simple, Harry. The veil of death is literally a magical device of death itself, and you are the first person ever to unite all the deathly hallows, and because of that, you were able to not only survive but also travel through the veil and land in this world."
"But how surely you don't think that deathly hallows are really from the death itself?" Harry asked sceptically.
Dumbledore shook his head. "No, I don't think so, Harry, but I have spent years of my study on these hallows, and the fact that they actually do work like they are told in the tales tells us that there may be some truth. What I think is that the Peverell brothers were very brilliant wizards who were actually able to tap into the death magic and make the hallows using that, which would then make sense that if you unite all three, you could have a portion of death magic."
Harry stayed silent as he tried not to say or give away anything by his expression to Dumbledore, but inside he was shocked at how close Dumbledore really was to the truth.
From the time he had untied the three hallows, Harry had started to feel a different type of magic mingling with his own, and every time he tried to use it, it was destructing, and because he had never been able to control it, he had never used it in battle.
And now Dumbledore himself had confirmed what Harry had suspected for a long time: with the deathly hallows, the wielder also gets the magic of death.
Realising how long he had been silent, Harry started the conversation back so that dumbledore couldn't get suspicious of him.
"Thank you for solving my problem, but one still remains."
"Which one?" Dumbledore asked.
"Even though I have accepted that I have been dumped here in this world, I still don't know what to do with my time here or where to even start from in this new but same world," Harry asked, throwing his hands in exasperation.
Dumbledore chuckled, "Maybe you go and kill Tom already; it would definitely help your time."
Harry snorted, "I'm not dumb, Albus. The Tom riddle I beat in my world was completely broken; he didn't even have ten percent of his own soul left in his body, while the one here is still almost whole and would be much more powerful, and I can't just go and kill him when he hasn't done something too terrorising, or otherwise I would be thrown into Azkaban."
"To kill him, I have to take my time and slowly destroy his base, his death eaters, and then finally him." Harry finished with a determined tone and fire in his eyes.
Dumbledore smiled at the young man. For the last 30 years since he let the teen Tom Riddle go, he has been in constant regret at seeing the adult Tom Riddle come back and form himself as the dark lord.
As much as he knew how capable and strong he was, Dumbledore was aware that Tom had surpassed him.
But now that he finally has someone who could go toe to toe with Tom and, with time, even defeat him, he feels a sudden burden from his shoulder getting released now that he had young Harry Peverell with him to defeat Tom.
But he knew that he had to keep Harry away from any fighting for now. The young man deserved it; he had already fought his whole life and lost his student life.
Dumbledore wants him to actually live his life and not spend it on the battle field all the time, which he knew Harry would do by joining the aurors.
And with that in his mind, an idea found its way into Dumbledore's mind, and with a giddy smile, he looked at the young Peverell and said, "Harry, I think I have the perfect job for you."
Harry narrowed his eyes at the excited tone of Dumbledore and tried to think why he would be so excited, and his eyes widened as he finally realised what the job was.
"No, no, no, no, absolutely no, Albus, don't you even dare!" Harry exclaimed in anger and pointed his finger at the old wizard, who just laughed at him.
"Why, Harry, I didn't even tell you what the job is."
"I know exactly what the job is, and my answer is NO!"
"Come on, Harry, at least think about it."
"I am only 21 years old."
"Which means you have two years of experience."
"I-I am not qualified!"
"Harry, I am the headmaster, and I select the teacher, and from what I have seen from your memories, you are more than qualified enough."
"Bu.. But I don't know anything about teaching."
"Harry, at the age of 15, you taught 40 students, some of whom were even in their seventh year, and all of them passed with good numbers."
Finally, after the long back and forth between the young and old wizards, Harry had no more argument left as he opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out.
To put the nail in the coffins, dumbledore decided to add, "And Harry, if you are going to defeat Tom, you have to stop more people from joining him, and the young students who will graduate will be the ones who will join him. Now imagine that, with you being here in the heart of Hogwarts, you could control and even stop Tom's army from increasing in strength. You could also save so many careers for young witches and wizards.
Harry sat back, defeated. He knew he had already lost the argument, and frankly, he didn't know why he was trying to say no when this was the best job for him. Not only would he get to stop Tom, but he could also meet his parents and their friends, something of which he has always dreamed.
With that, Harry accepted the dumbledore offer.
Dumbledore grinned and spread his arms wide. "Then let me be the first to welcome you to your new job as professor of defence against the dark arts, Professor Harry Peverell."
Harry snorted at the crazy old man, but deep down he could not help but feel excited about this new adventure of his life.

They are 20+ years in the past there are no mentions of Appoline’s age so it doesn’t really matter for story purposes and this story is in the Marauders era, none of those canon characters will be in it anyways, and if the author wants he could just make Luna Harry and Pandoras daughter 🤷♂️

Amelia is a bit too old. She's probably 20 years older than the Marauders. Hmm, what year is it set in? Bellatrix should have graduated Hogwarts before the Marauders even got there, but it's alright if there is a small bit of an age change, I just hate it when she is conveniently placed in the same year as the Marauders.

Apolline have been one of my choices as well, and now that I know others wants her too, so she is definitely going to be in this. I love the shout of pandora as well, because she could be the Ravenclaw I want harry to be with since he needs one, or he would be too crowded with Slytherin and Gryffindor. Although I am not too keen about making her a Greengrass I just can't in my mind think Luna and Daphne to be related, feels like it would be better if I make her as a member of an old seer family that are going extinct, and she is one of the last one.
