"Oh, and why should I believe you?” Voldemort whispered, leading forward on his throne. “From the tone of your voice, you sounded like you almost admired and respected this wizard.”
"No, master, please, I beg you!!” Rudolphus shook his head, tears flowing from his eyes. “I would never say that you are the only wizard I have ever worshipped.”
His plea had no effect as Dark Lord scoffed and kicked the snivelling death eater away. “Enough! You think I would let a worm like you kiss my feet?” He hissed with his eyes narrowed. “I should have killed you for your failure.”
Rudolphus almost shat his pants hearing that, but the next words of his master brought him relief.
“…But after checking with the other failures that came with you, your story does seem to match.” Voldemort hummed, leaning back on his throne. “Which means you are not lying to me.”
The scarred death eaters sighed in relief and kissed his master's dark robes. “Thank you, master, thank you, thank you-“
“But that doesn’t mean you won’t be punished,” the malice tone of the dark lord stopped the pathetic death eater, and he looked up to see his master clicking his fingers.
Suddenly, two figures emerged from the shadow behind Voldemort, and Rudolphus eyes bulged out of his socket.
“I think you both know what to do with him.” The Dark Lord asked his servants and got an eager nod from the two figures. "Good, then take him away.”
The death eaters finally came to light to reveal the maniacally grinning faces of Amycus and Alecto Carrow. The infamous Carrow twins.
The twins grabbed the hand of the deathly pale Rudolphus and dragged him away while he screamed. "NO, MY LORD, PLEASE, I BEG YOU!! "Give me a chance to prove myself!!!"
The terrified screaming fell on the death ears of Voldemort, while the Lestrange got dragged to a faith worse than dying. Which was getting tortured endlessly by the mad Carrow twins, who were feared by everyone except the dark lord and his right hand.
Everyone present in the manor knew they were never going to see the face of Rudolphus Lestrange again.
Once the scream died down, Voldemort turned to the man standing on his right.
“There was one thing I noticed in the Lestrange tale. This mystery wizard came with James Potter in the battle. Do you know anything about it?” The dark lord asked.
"No, my lord,” a gravelled voice spoke from the dark shadows. “I don’t remember anyone else from the Potter family or his friend other than Black who could be powerful enough to do this. I am sorry, my lord, for disappointing you. I have no idea who it could be.”
Voldemort hummed, showing his disappointment. He then opened his right eye and stared directly into the eyes of his most loyal supporter. “Then find everything about him as quickly as you can.” The dark lord ordered. “I want to know who he is, where he came from, and what his history is. Is that clear?”
The dark figure, instead of cowering by the intimidating gaze, bowed to his master, “Consider it done, my lord.”
Voldemort nodded, and after closing his eyes again, he waved his hand, dismissing everyone present.
The figure in shadow bowed once more time and left manor to start his research to appease his master.
Once out of the manor, the moonlight reflected on his figure and revealed a tall, thin man with light brown hair and a scarred, pale face.
He was the feared right hand of Dark Lord Voldemort, and it was none other than...

While late to the amazing party that is this story I have to say that I didn't see Remus reveal sent chills down my spine and a dreaded cliffhanger has me wanting more. That being said I hope you're doing well.

Great chapter. It's good to see you back. Hope everything is fine now and you're better. The smut between Harry and Tonks was amazing. Though...Remus as the right hand of the Dark Lord? That's new. It's a completely different world hahah! I think in a fic A Strange Old World by Rob511 it has Sirius Black as the right hand along with Wormtail. And grumpywolf's Back? Not Really has Remus as part of Greyback's pack, but killed off. Would be interesting to see your take on Remus as an antagonist. Cheers!
