Having found a great camp spot the previous night, me and Verity set off for the vibrant medieval city of Wurzburg where we would stumble upon a free Sting concert, before embarking on the biggest, hottest and most beautiful day of cycling of the trip. Heat was a real issue as we set our sights firmly on the fairy-tale town of Rothenberg ob der Tauber, but with regular beer, ice-cream and sausage stops, I was hoping that we could make it in time for my secret proposal...

Enjoying more cycling content! Watching your London to Budapest series inspired me to cycle from London to Amsterdam and back on my own in August this year. Even stayed in Charlie Rockets in Brugge!This is giving me the itch again.

I do remember pushing my bike from the river Tauber up to Rothenburg. But that was after an easy one-hour-ride. Can't imagine how exhausting it must have been after such a long distance in the heat. Thanks to both of you for letting us into your holiday.
