When we arrived at the fairy-tale town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber having cycled a whopping 66 miles in the blistering heat, the last thing Verity expected was an emotional rollercoaster, but that's what she got thanks to the questionable planning that went into my unexpected proposal. Thankfully the night ended on a high, and she said yes! After a romantic rest day in Rothenburg, we embarked on another big and beautiful day of cycling which eventually took us to the grounds of an old medieval castle. It was spooky enough as it was, but footsteps and voices in the dead of the night would crank things up a couple of notches..
(This was meant to be the final Episode but there will now be another one - I shall do my best to get it done next week)
