You're watching the very first episode, and keen to start the trip with a bang, Greg and I are hell bent on finding ourselves a cheap boat that we can sail the length of Long Island on. As you can see in the thumbnail we would eventually get a boat, but the rollercoaster of events that both preceded and followed the purchase made for quite a rocky ride..

I felt your pain when you talked about getting a boating certificate. I had to do that for the midwest area (I'm in Illinois) a few years ago. IT IS SO LONG. But now I can drive my boat, a jetski, and even a sailboat. It's also funny that the original cost of the motor was $1000 because we like to say B.O.A.T. stands for "Break out another thousand"
Amazing video. Me and my friends rented a boat in Croatia and drifted for an hour for the same reason; not knowing you have to prime the engine.
