What if the protagonist had voice acting?

You might have noticed your protagonist doesn't have voice acting. We chose that option because some people prefer to use their own voice for the protagonist.
But I was wondering if at least 50% of the players would want us to add voice to the protagonist. It can improve the experience and make the game take longer to complete.
So, comment down below on this: Would play the game with the voice of the protagonist active or not?

The last thing I wanted is to have a male voice or whatever during sex scene. If you go on with this please make it have the mute option

My 2 cents... if possible, make it so the VA is mutable. So if the voice doesnt mesh with our inner dialogs voice for the MC, then we dont have to deal with it. I think the possibility of losing people would increase immensely without the option to mute the voice. I wouldnt mind it being voiced, but I dont need it voiced.

No voice acting for me, it is hard to immerse yourself into a guy with face anyways and with voice it will be harder.

I've been listening to erotica read by female VAs, and honestly I'm okay without the MC having a VA. That being said, I agree with a lot of the comments here that it would be preferable to have it as a toggle option. For me it ruins the immersion, but for some others it may enhance their imagination. My opinion would be to test it on a different game to see what people favor. I've enjoyed the progression that's transpired thus far in this game series, and adding a male VA this late would throw me for a loop. If that did occur, I think it would be a cool way to get some well-deserved VA talent. Kudos to you guys asking questions, and I'm looking forward to whatever comes next!

Nah, I think it's better to think about an event, like what if…? So that the story is not so linear or offer events or special mini events that may not affect the story

If the protagonist has voice acting, there should be an option to disable it if we don't like it, so as not to spoil the atmosphere and immersion of the game.

It's quite annoying that everyone talks but the protagonist doesn't. It feels like the last piece of the puzzle is missing. I want a voiceover for the protagonist ! A speech on/off button can be added to the settings section.

I would like it! But would really depend ON the voice. we all like different things and have different tones etc, ergo peewee-herman lol. My wife compares mine to James Earl Jones, i can see issues for many with that as well as some wanting to pick a type teen-adult deep or not, i have no clue if possible, to scale it that way some how. That is where the off button comes in handy. Maybe a poll on the type of voice b4 doing. I would play with it on either way just because it add's to the whole experience.

I think it would be a nice option. Players can turn it on or off. I do wish there were more voice acting it adds a lil something I think to the experience.

No Thank You, for me while playing the game, I like to imagine myself in these situations. With voice acting on the protagonist, it would take away from that experience. It would make it as tho I am watching someone else's life experiences. I would rather have more concentration on better voice acting from the other characters. Not just sound effects, but possibly actresses reading out the scripts. Lip sync would be crucial.... Thank you for asking...

Leave base game for the mute protagonist and on/off -toggleable mc voice for supporter/"and now for something completely different" -edition. And then survey the buyers of that edition what they did with the voice acting and why.

I think it’s fine to add it but I would turn it off during sex scenes. I can’t imagine with all the looping it wouldn’t end up sounding ridiculous after the first loop.

He clearly said that if they added voice the game will take longer to complete. So people wanting for voice acting for MC will be responsible for the updates take even longer that they already take for so little content.

I think it's a waste. For most people it is a turn off. I would turn it off and read the dialogues with my voice in my mind.

I don't know about anyone else, but I turn off the voice acting. It sounds unnatural to me. Moaning and sound effects are fine. Voice acting though kinda sucks

Voice off for sure for me. As long as I could turn it off it would be fine if it were a feature but I don’t think it is the place to allocate dev time and resources. I think it is more immersive and makes choices feel more impactful if you have to read your part.

Voice for the MC please, but only outside of intimate scenes. And only if they would be added back in to previous chapters/scenes. If the whole time he's silent, then suddenly gains a voice, it would feel off. I like the auto feature and not having voiced MC lines makes that feature less useful IMO.

I can't deny that it would be weird if the protagonist had a voice, but on the other hand I would like it because then there isn't that sudden gap between when the protagonist speaks and when one of the girls speaks. Yes, I would like it.

My thoughts when I read are in my own voice, I don't want to hear another person's voice. It will disconnect me from the experience, being left to think that the person there is not me. Totally not for me. No voice for the MC please. The ladies, bring on the voices if you like, I don't mind but not the MC. Thanks.

Another game I play has Mc with "mumble emote" voice over and the option to turn it off - big fan of that especially because it's lower investment for the dev for a feature that's otherwise meh

I enjoy the silent protagonist! Maybe allow an option for voice lines on or off. Not sure how difficult that would be, though.

Depends on the voice. I can recommend some VAs enjoy on audiobooks. You can try Christopher Boucher from actors everywhere, Wayne Mitchell or daniel wisniewski. They do some narrations for the genre and have great ranges

Voice acting the MC ruined Fallout. It makes it harder to insert yourself into the story. It's a no from me.
