Here it is. The first of it's kind: a straight line mission race across a country. Fine, an independent British crown dependency.
A year ago I agreed to race Archie and Adam Fieldhouse in return for their kind gesture to let me go first in Wales. In December it happened. 10 miles across mountains, freezing lakes and farmland, full of excitement, drama, pain and even an angry local.
The question is, who will come out on top? With more fitness (than Archie) and more straight line experience I fancied myself as favorite, but anything can happen in a race...

You took that chap (who was an absolute gent) from "well I don't give a shit about that" and threatening to call the police to giving you tips on how to get down to the bottom.

I hear you. But pride or being proud shouldn’t be just related to winning. That line was gnarly and one thing you didn’t have was another human to tactically analyze each situation and keep you sharp. They did! I think most hardcore adventurers would have given up, but you kept going. And now you’ve set up a beautiful rivalry. Maybe you don’t feel proud, and I respect that, but I bet you your community is proud of you.

Madly enough bananas are the one food I can't stomach! they make me wretch uncontrollably. I tried to eat one in the car afterwards and decided cramp was the better option.

For us Americans wondering, there are no snakes in the Isle of Man. I live in Kentucky, and if this would have been me doing a similar mission here, midway through you would see me running and screaming with about a dozen snakes attached to various parts of my body flapping in the wind behind me.
