ENGLAND BONUS FOOTAGE #1 (PRE MISSION + DAY 1)
🕑 Added 2024-07-22 14:18:44 +0000 UTCGood afternoon Patreons!
Here's your first portion of bonus footage from the straight line mission across England. Including all the pre mission stuff; van loading, scouting, planning and pondering, all the most noteworthy clips from an action packed day 1 that didn't make the cut, and some unseen thoughts from the inside the van afterwards.
Apologies for the delay on this! I decided to spontaneously hitchhike to Berlin for the Euro's final. The trip itself took 3 days and I've been editing it into a full length video which will be with you on Friday or Saturday! (early patreon release of course!)
OTHER UPDATES:
-There will be two more of these bonus footage videos, both should will be with you within the next 7-10 days.
-Line review video coming up on YouTube in 7-10 days also.
$4 TIER:
-Filming this week: Exploring the black country on my bike. That will be now be with you in 10-14 days time
-4 day hike through Snowdonia with Ben Cook booked in for late August
-2 or 3 day kayak with Ed booked in for early September
Verity and the baby all doing fine!!
Take it easy everyone :)

They are perfect.

I'd like to attempt that too one day, but this one will be all about scenery, mystical forests and incredible wild camp spots
tom davies
Thanks Lanie that means a lot!

Looking forward to the Snowdonia trip, would be amazing to see you try the Welsh 3000’s challenge sometime, but I’m sure you have routes planned already!
Lanie
The mission across England videos have been a lifesaver! I looked forward to them every week as I finished up my last classes for my degree. Excited to be graduating college in a week, thank you for the content to keep my mind off school :)

"It's not coming home" hits different for Verity

Spontaneous hitch hike to Berlin?? 😂😂 The “no more crazy adventures now I’m a dad” didn’t last long.

Would be nice to see a cycle around the Black Country hopefully you pick up a few canals and maybe even delve into Dudley lol
Raffaella Protska
"you would never find me" he tells his pregnant wife 😂 cheers to verity she's a saint
tom davies
Definitely! I'll do a livestream in the next few weeks
tom davies
No luck finding unfortunately Jason!
tom davies
nice! do these work well?
CK3
So I guess the analysis is not a livestream. Do you consider doing a livestream soon again, so we might ask some questions about The Mission?

Any phone update, backed up or lost the lot.

And yet… I still get anxiety with every farmer’s field.
Stuart Duncan
Enjoy your day mate!
Stuart Duncan
I’m not sure if I get more anxiety watching you enter a “live” farmer’s field OR an orgy of fallen trees.
Stuart Duncan
You’re in for a treat. There are so many wonderful adventures here!

Awesome, looking forward to it. Luv the vids and I want to mention that my daughter was born in feb this year so it's a fun thought for me atleast that we have daughters more or less the same age. Hope your little gal is doing well. :)
tom davies
Yeah line review coming soon mate - info in the description ^^
Connor J
Looking forward to all the new videos! No rush.
Oscar Schad
Nvm, watched the last vid again and noticed you mentioned it will be up in a couple of weeks.

Hey Tom is there any anylysis/wrap up comming up for the mission?
Ewoud van Aalst
It's a lot more relaxing to watch now, knowing you have succeeded
tom davies
If I could go back in time think I probably would have tweaked the line slightly to avoid the worst of the fallen tree sections, but if it weren't for those I'd pick the forests all day long! The Fields are just as dicey.. 4 farmer interactions for the Fieldhouses, no thank you!
Matthew Moffatt
Ooh, looking forward to another adventure with Ben. Based on his historical precedent of wearing shorts in winter, I'm expecting him to be doing a summer walk in the thickest woolen trousers he owns.

Looking back Tom would you rather more farms and less (fallen) woods? Fields just seem so easy to traverse compared to those woods. I guess in Scotland it's an easier choice because of the right to roam. Also studded / hobnail footwear the way to go for grip on the logs.

A legendary amount of content upcoming! Thanks Tom!

Yay! What a gift on my bday! Hope you and your family are well Tom
