90s KIDS TV THEME TUNES (UK) Tier List Maker ($4 TIER)
🕑 Added 2024-11-07 18:04:32 +0000 UTCIt might not surprise you to learn that I love a good theme tune. I'm also a nostalgic bastard.
So, I've created a Tier list with all the noteworthy kids TV programs from my childhood, and I'm going to rank their theme tunes in an epic live stream, listening as we go.
The list includes 61 themes from kids TV shows that aired on Terrestrial TV in 90s Britain. Includes some 80s re-runs and some shows that aired predominantly in the early 00s.
If you can't make the live stream, you will of course be able to watch it back any time (provided you are in the $4 Tier)

Thanks Gemma, glad you enjoyed. Yeah that Beatrix Potter track hits me every time too. As for Family Ness, I reckon if I'd have watched it more as a kid it would've been higher. It's almost impossible to stop the nostalgia from muddying things up!

Cheers Matt! Yeah I tried my best to keep it moving but I was just having too much fun to rush through it any more!

sorry Altino, I was worried this would happen. Apparently it's possible with a VPN

Actually gutted I missed the livestream, as there's nothing better than kids TV theme nostalgia! I've never thought of the Thomas the Tank Engine theme as a banger before, but it really is! And the emotional wallop I got from the Beatrix Potter theme really hit me! You are however factually wrong for not putting the Family Ness in god tier... π€£

Hi Tom, this was fantastic content. I'm 33 and grew up watching nearly all of these so the nostalgia was intense! I sat down and watched it back over three separate sessions as it did go on a bit. Loved how seriously you took it the whole way through though :D

Fantastic video! Wish Iβd have been able to watch live, as a professional music theorist thus was right up my alley. The use of picardie 3rds and flatVI in Family-ness is pretty amazing.

Great stream, enjoyed being part of it, I am unhealthily latched on to the 90s and was glad to share in this with everyone else! β€οΈ

That Beatrix Potter intro is probably the most quintessential piece of music from my childhood. The Moomin was also something I watched every week. It still runs here in Finland. The original Moomin stories were written by our very own Tove Jansson and that show was made with her endorsement. The cartoon was re-dubbed recently because the channel bosses thought that some of the language that was used is too crude for the present day audiences. Too bad the quality of voice acting is also worse.

Thanks Tom! I was there from basically the first second you went live to five minutes before it ended since my phone died π€£ Just watched the end after plugging back in. Loved the stream even though most of these shows didn't make it to America.

Loved this Tom, thank you, and as I was 15 minutes late, glad you took a tea break! As I'm older than you, indeed really hope you did a throwback of some 80s ones, Dogtanian!
