Jubilee Sudoku
🕑 Added 2022-06-05 19:00:04 +0000 UTCNobody sent us a Jubilee Sudoku to celebrate the reign of Queen Elizabeth II who is aged 96, and has reigned as monarch for 70 years. Mark decided to try and construct one instead, and to film himself doing so.
In the end, although he is confident this is a unique-answer and solvable sudoku, he wasn't certain the solution path was elegant enough to be a video for the channel, so we are sending it out to Patreons, and would be very interested to know how you find the puzzle.
Midweek we will also release the video of Mark explaining how he constructed it. Here is where you can try the puzzle: https://app.crackingthecryptic.com/sudoku/TdJmg2nT4M

Did anyone else use set at all?

I had to resort to bifurcation. No idea on where the logical path was.

I'm enjoying so far though I've reached a point where I'm stuck and need to wait for the video (normal for me lol).

The solution I found has 1 six in the yellow for both regions combined.

Took me 75:27. Keeping the addition in the regions straight was hard at times, but it was still fun.
Found that tough, at one point was not certain if the logic was sound (Regarding where the last 3 6's were). Beyond that the logic path was still difficult for me, but nice to finish - neat puzzlel

There is only one 6 in a yellow cell, and only one yellow cell with a 6 in it
I read this as once only in any yellow cell - so 6 can either appear once in the '9' region or once in the '6' region but not both...
I’m guessing the “6 only appears once in a yellow cell” means once per yellow region?
