🕑 Added 2023-06-18 14:59:01 +0000 UTCHi Patreons!
Here is a VERY approachable sudoku challenge - five 4x4 sudokus, which anyone can try. Do please try and get your friends, relatives, and especially young children to give these puzzles a go!
Experienced solvers will be done in a matter of minutes, so there are no prizes, but we would love to hear any stories of people who are pleased to have solved the puzzles.
Thanks for supporting us, Simon & Mark

loved it! so cute and clever!
Super fun on a sunny Saturday morning :)
Bite-sized morsels of goodness! Absolutely delightful - and I'm amused that Merida is presiding over the arrow sudoku, and that the thermos look like Moana's oar. The dress/line color-coordination for Aurora and Rapunzel also work nicely. (I'm trying to imagine the Kropki dots represent Tiana's eyes and tiara... it almost works.)
Really enjoyed these.. I'm no where able to solve the "adult" hunts and so I thought about needing to drop Patreon, these were simple enough I could do them. The thermo was the hardest and took a few tries, but I got it.

This is a great idea to bring new people to the world of Sudoku. I love how you have created a few little tasters of variant sudoku, I will be sharing this with some of my family and friends. I actually had fun running through them myself.

These kids packs are lovely, I'm so glad you do them now! Great for kids, and more accessible for those of us who are not so fast with the more advanced puzzles, or just want a quick time filler or a warm up! Agreed with Ewen, a saved solution would be nice, though tbh I always find those reassuring, kids puzzle or not.
Quite the fun walk-in-the-park for the morning before workd :D

As a suggestion for sudokus aimed at kids, it’d be nice if they had saved solutions in them so they could be sure they’d solved them correctly. (The first one has a saved solution from memory, but the last four do not, just a “matches rules of sudoku” looks okay, which doesn’t prove the puzzle constraint was followed.) Ewen

Very nice: I did have to think about them just a bit, especially the thermometers, but I loved the princess theme. I know some girls who'll probably enjoy these!

That was fun. Just the sort of level of puzzle that my dad used to find for me in the papers and mags when I was a kid, which taught me about simple puzzle logic. -- This is a great idea which you ought to continue so we can get the next gen up and puzzling!
