Spyder by Sabre: Listener 4884: Simon's Attempt: Parts 1&2

We were tipped the wink that Spyder by Sabre was another exceptional crossword and so, over the course of the coming days, we will release videos documenting Simon's attempt!

I'm really enjoying watching this so far. I've always avoided this kind of crossword because putting in manipulated answers seemed... unsatisfying. The Listen! puzzle had a good payoff though, so I'm feeling a little more open minded about this puzzle type.

It's such a joy how Simon takes us along on the solve with him. I was so pleased to get 28ac - watching the Friday masterclasses is finally bearing fruit!

I love the fact that we (as an audience) make discoveries along with Simon as he solves. It’s like a detective show, watching him follow a train of thought through multiple avenues to find the answer. And his joy at making a breakthrough is palpable. It is very entertaining. Thank you CTC.
