Hard surface modeling/texturing study - "Tactical Drake"
🕑 Added 2020-07-29 20:00:17 +0000 UTCI've always wanted to explore the idea of giving Drake and my dolphins some kind of (technological) prop. Be it a vest (done!) or some kind of visor / HUD gizmo that would in theory allow them to make use of technology, even though they lack thumbs.
I was inspired after seeing some tactical dog gear and decided make one for Drake even though he has no reason to use it in any of the animations, I did learn quite a bit creating this, so that's knowledge I'll be able to use in the future!

"Born to nom" I love it :D Back in airsoft community we would call him "tacticool". I wanted to give my dragons models such equipment (Temeraire series but in modern times anyone?). However, the problem appeared as soon as I asked myself how harness is supposed to be held on a dragon's belly.

well a visor can still be useful for Dragons, given the required intelect to make use of it there are some gadgets that you could defenitely have some animals learn to use.
