Demo Update: Chapter 7

Average playthrough is now 52,000 words (214,000 total), but the new content can be either a lot longer or shorter based on which route you chose back in Chapter 1.

This update was mostly focused on finishing up Chapter 7 so that Chapter 8's varying scenes can begin right away--you'll be able to choose a scene with either Glitch or Sally, and then with Rosy or Gray. (Chapter 8 will be updated for Patreon March 26.)
The subway route finally begins paying off in this latest chapter, especially if you gathered all three clues about a certain piece of art. Those Buttons who went a different way to school might find that there's not a whole lot new in this update (unless they're romancing Gray, in which case a certain action finally sets his romance route trigger).
Also: I did research all the high-tech gadgetry used in HQ, but let me know if anything is inaccurate! I'm very much not a scientist, so have spent hours reading journals and articles on tech over the last few weeks.

I'm going to tweak the scene to allow for greater variety, but Button will need to react in a visible way for Gray to know that OH OK MAYBE THEY REALLY DO LIKE ME (he is a dense boy). Also, Button needs to eventually show that they're willing to be emotional vulnerable to initiate Gray's full romance . . . because once Nick is out of their head, it will cease being a choice. And one of Gray's greatest hesitancy about starting a relationship with Button is intruding on their privacy and hearing thoughts that Button is unwilling to show.
Hi Jo! I really enjoyed the update (as always!). I have a small piece of feedback about the Gray lock-in at the end. SPOLIERS? BELOW Would it be possible to add a different option for Buttons who are shy or particularly fond of their privacy? The lock-in choice right now is tantamount to a public declaration, and it doesn't really feel right for a Button who is conscious of prying eyes. Hope that makes sense! Great work as usual <3
Can I just say I love that the things Button knows for sure about K are that they 1) love dogs and 2) love messing with people and Kmancing Button is still like “That one. I want that one.”

That Gray scene? Yeah day made, crops watered, skin cleared, tattoo design of the entire paragraph already in the makings. Loved this update very very much ❤️

I finally did a Gray playthrough and AHHHH THE PINING. THE LONGING. UNABLE TO TOUCHHHH... aka I loved it and I played it first in the update. (note to self, flirt less with literally EVERYONE in my actual playthrough...)

The second-hand embarrassment from an awkward Button being interested in K and knowing Nick has to witness all Button's thoughts in this matter absolutely kills me. XD
