The Great Rewritening Feedback Request: Chapters 6 & 7
🕑 Added 2022-03-26 01:01:08 +0000 UTCI've been struggling with rewriting the intro of Chapter 5, but on the flip side that means I've procrastinated by instead finishing another of Mind Blind's endings! Still can't be played since the entire middle of the game needs to be recoded, but hey it's written. Turns out being in a rut isn't all that bad if it means that I write to avoid editing.
Still, I figure it's best to collect feedback for the next two chapters so that when I finally finish with Hope's new Chapter 5 introduction, I can be off to the races with the next two chapters.
I'm toying with the idea of combining Chapters 6 & 7, as honestly not a lot happens in Chapter 7 (a lot of things can be pruned). But then again, I'm pretty attached to Kenzie's cliffhanger entrance between chapters, and I don't know if I could bear taking out Rosy's stairwell scenes.
Basically, I'm indecisive and could use your suggestions.

I agree with the above! I loved that moment with Rosy also could anyone tell me how I access the demo? I can't find it anywhere haha.

I agree with all of the above. I think for me, at least, that laugh is the first glimpse that Rosy isn't actually the cyborg my Button has been led to believe them to be up until that point. I was never a Rosy romancer at first (Glitch ofc), but honestly this little moment in that stairwell made me go back and make a Rosy-playthrough Button. Zero regrets. 😂 Why is it that just mentioning Rosy turns everyone into a pun machine? Rosy is contagious. Thank goodness. ♥️
Please don’t take out the stairwell scene with Rosy, I really enjoy the moment of genuine laughter!

Would there be another chance to make Rosy laugh about my pun(s)? I could probably forgo the "sniffing my teacher" side of things, but I'm playing my Button as the world's meanest Pun Machine and that one option ("That's rather... cryptic.") combines several of my favorite things in the world: 1) Acknowledging Rosy's humor. 2) Loudly, with a description of their laugh. 3) As a logical consequence, posing the very obvious question if Rosy likes Button. 4) All of the above, in Nick's Face. That's the stuff a player like me thrives on. Re: that "sniffing" moment: Learning how the LI smells is typically a huge game changer in any romance. However, I figure, even if you'd throw this moment out, Button would inevitably end up smelling Rosy sooner or later, maybe even in a moment of more deliberate closeness. And the delayed gratification of learning the particulars of Rosy's scent could provide more sensuality, newness and freshness for the next time our Buttons get to take time and smell the... Rosys.
