July's Interviewee(s)!
🕑 Added 2021-07-04 20:49:44 +0000 UTCThat's right, this month's spotlight will be shined on none other than dear old Mom and Dad. (What skeletons are in their closets, hmm? Do you really want to know? Although in Hope's case, it probably includes a life-sized fake skeleton given her Halloween obsession.)
Please address any questions to Hope and John via either the Sanctum Discord Cast Interview Channel or by replying to this post. If your question is for only one of the pair, please make sure to clarify who's being addressed.

This might be too late, but here goes! - Do you have any wholesome secret that you’ve been hiding from Nick and Button?? - What is something small that you do together that you absolutely love? - What were some things you had to get used to when you moved in together?
Something I've been wondering since forever: what exactly does a newborn baby think about?
Frogs_I_suppose
Did the two of you ever wish Button was born "normal"?
Also for Hope : Did she try to see Button again after the accident ?
Did Button have difficulties learning to speak given that everybody in the family could hear their thoughts early on ? Where their first word spoken or thought ?

And ALSO— for the sake of sibling ✨drama✨— who was easier to potty train? Or just raise in general? Nick or Button? 😂

Given Nick’s comment on Button being “so loud” even when they were a baby, I’m guessing their mind blindness was noticed early on. But what was both of your reactions to having a child with the only known instance of a zero?

Do you ever used to do family group costumes for Halloween?? What was your favourite before Nick started dressing up for a *cough* non-kid friendly audience, therefore breaking tradition if so?

What was your first date like?
I'm an angst gremlin, so apologies ahead of time to fluffier readers! There's a section that a particularly resentful Button can get in Chapter 3 that resonates with me in a way-less-bitter-than-this way: "You resented their cavalier eavesdropping on your thoughts, the way that they never let you get away with anything, no matter how trivial. In this family, we're honest, they used to say. Bullshit. If your mom had been honest about her difficulty coping with your thoughts, it wouldn't have resulted with you twitching on the kitchen tiles." Personally not on board with the bitterness, but I think it's a fair point that, while Hope does deserve sympathy and help, she also could (and should imo) have been more honest about her needs, especially as the adult in the situation. My question for both/either Hope and John is could they talk more about this "we're honest" philosophy--do they see their hypocrisy? Do they have any regrets? Not necessarily about Hope's reluctance to be honest about HER needs, but their inflexibility with Button who had no choice in the matter. Do/did they really think it was fair to enforce a policy that one kid (Nick) could (potentially) skirt while the other kid was biologically predestined to reveal all infractions? Of course, I recognize that this is only Button's perspective, so maybe they DID let little things slide? Anyway, I would just love to know more in general about this topic. Apologies for such a long lead up, and thank you!
