The blood isn't more than what we've seen in the past, and I think as far as stories like Sal's go, this is all very manageable to read. That said, if you're sensitive to stuff like that, just be aware when reading.
(Also, this chapter is still technically in the proof reading stage, so some pages are subject to change in the print version.)
