Cameo Spots for Rowan Coven + Market in the Sola VN! (OPEN) + I wanna hear about your favorite game mechanics!

If you have a character you wouldn't mind seeing in the game, now is the time!
(As a heads-up, this is most likely the last time I will ask for characters to cameo in this game, but there's a very slight chance I'll open them again for this game for some MAYBE future DLC, but I do think I'll have other spots for other games AND comics and stuff, so don't be bummed if you missed any of these, I'll try to make room for you again later!)
The character will appear somewhere in Rowan Coven or Rowan Market, the infamous coven that Battam's Mom was a part of and now, Satine is exiled from. Covens are complex, they are a "safe" space for witches, as well as being a faceless force of propaganda around the world of Solanaceae. So, the variety of characters who fit as coven members is big-- but I also think these spots won't be popular because the only antagonists in the story are Rowan Coven members and boy howdy, this game does talk about them, and it's... complex.
BUT! There are some rules to these cameo spots:
- If your character has already cameo'd/or is set to cameo in the Solanaceae: After All game OR Solanaceae: Prologue comic, they cannot be submitted again.
- If you already have a character in either story, please don't submit a character! I want to give other people a chance.
- THESE SPOTS ARE *NOT* FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE (Assuming the designs follow the rules!) I'm gonna pick whoever fits the town best. Please submit your design within a week of seeing this!
- Character can ONLY be human for these slots, and will be assigned witch markings as I see fit-- and def feel free to tell me what kind of markings you might wanna see! But, your character will mostly be covered up by the Rowan Coven uniform anyways.
- You can submit a character who is a fairy or something like that, but I will have to remove any parts of the design that don't fit in with canon, they will be transformed into a witch for this, muwahah!
- Your character *will* be in a Rowan Coven outfit. The outfit is blue, but the accessories will be based on whatever signature color your character has.
- Characters who are a bit mean, morally gray, hide their emotions, or are generally shy are all encouraged to apply. Covens want people to be calm, collected-- and while a lot of members of the coven are nice people, lots of them also aren't. There is an ego that comes with being a member for some folks.
- Generally, just don't submit a character you wouldn't be comfortable being associated with an organization that is morally gray and complex. These are not spots for the faint of heart! (Though uh, don't worry your characters won't be saying slurs or some shit like that, omfg, but they will most likely be mean to Battam or express some kind of sadness or problem.)
- I need a short summary of what your character is like in order for me to write a line or two from them! :)
- You gotta be okay with me distributing this game, and eventually selling it. I won't be able to share revenue with you, but I will never claim your character as my own, or put them in or on promotional material, merch, etc. You can ask me to remove your character at any time, but please be aware this causes extra work for me! Think carefully before applying.

Also, I was curious what are some of your favorite game mechanics / mini-games from games where you gather, cook food, or make potions? I really wanna try ramping up the mechanics of this game, so I'm looking for inspiration. Anything where you can send a video or photo is a plus, and PLEASE remember these mechanics need to be played with either buttons on the screen, or just the mouse/finger. Send in whatever inspires you, but if you can keep this in mind, I'd be grateful. Just mostly looking to collect inspiration right now so I can pass along stuff to the new game designer I wanna bring on to the project! 🤩

Yeah! the system of "throw stuff in and see" is actually a little harder to code than it seems-- but also I didn't want that in my game b/c i just end up looking that stuff up anyways, and I knew others would as well LOL also omg, love that! honored to make a cameo in your dreams B)

It's funny cause I play so many games with crafting but the only ones aside from Pokemons curry I can remember are just "throw stuff in and see what happens" lol. Also, (semi unrelated) I had a wild dream where I was playing a Gummy and the Doctor game you'd made, and one of my own OCs got a cameo in it. So of course I found them in game to see what they do and the dialogue was all broken so I asked you about it and your response was "Wait, you did remember to have them practice and rehearse their lines?" And because of dream logic I absolutely did not question it and felt terrible for messing up the game with my poor work ethic. Dreams are weird.

Yeah, this was more or less an item I already had! The physics part might be hard in Ren'py, but it can easily be remade with buttons and things like that.

I can't for the life of me find any footage of the mini game itself, but I feel like potion brewing could borrow a lot from Pokemon Sword and Shield's curry mini game for potion making. Put ingredients in the pot, fan the flames so it's nice and hot, but not to the point it burns the ingredients, then stir quickly so it mixes, but not so much that it spills.
