Yeah, I can imagine. That's why I always try to avoid wars in video games like Civilization in favor of building my country xD

There is a resentment even before all this, that the whole Terraforming project has been delayed by having to build up such a military in the arms race with earth. But I took it up as that he wasn't going to live to see it himself. You could just imagine the stress put on your body in a burn like that.

I took that ocean on Mars line differently. Like "this war is going to ravage us and we might be able to reach our goals in my lifetime." What you said makes WAY more sense lol SCREAMING FIREHAWKS!!

There are references to that novel throughout the story. Think the rat on the cant was just a rat to show that it was a crummy dirty ice hawler.
