thank you for being kind about Jenny. She gets hated on a lot, for kind of being a crappy friend to Forrest but she is literally one of the most underrated female characters, imo. Dark, and complex. And very sad. I also tend to think "she doesn't OWE Forrest ANYTHING" regarding being his grilfriend, ect. But I DO wish she treated him better, but it wasn't hard to to see why she didn't??? I also didn't even think about the idea of Forrest NOT understanding her on a fundamental level, regarding her abuse. And I ALWAYS viewed it has her not thinking she was good enough. Like lines such as "You wouldn't want to marry me" ect Oh and it was confirmed by the creators that Jenny had aids because of all the drugs she did, early on. And sexual partners, ect.

This may very well be one of my favourite movies ever made. Steps just far enough into absurdity to provide some humour, but stays grounded enough to have the emotional moments really hit hard. And Tom Hanks absolutely kills it as Forrest. He is like the dictionary definition of "too pure for this sinful world"

You also need to watch The Da Vinci Code movies. The Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, and Inferno. They are absolutely phenomenal! I would also highly recommend Apollo 13, The Terminal, The Green Mile, Sleepless in Seattle, The 'Burbs, and Splash. All such fantastic movies!!
