What if Mr. Angelos talking about him had used his current preferred pronouns/name while talking about his past? It is a common thing to use updated pronouns while talking about trans person past, right?

I thought about that as well, but with Elena, and then Joel, do we want to introduce yet another trans person into the narrative? However, at the end of Chapter 25 Part 3, Mr. Angelos said that Nikos was part of high society but vanished "after his daughters were born", which means that he knew Nikos BEFORE the daughters were born, so Nikos could not be the mother.
