I'm not really sure if this is as much of a thing outside of the US. Know those fancy walk-through haunted house attractions? Draw the elves as actors / decorations in one. Mad Scientist's Lab, Pharaoh's Sarcophagus, Scarecrow in a Corn Maze, Electric Chair... Whole bunch of possibilities. Most of being an actor in a haunted house is just screaming and squirming around when people come by, and with the box of toys your art has shown that should be pretty easy to make happen.
