What's also interesting is this also goes into why Leonard doesn't speak up alot. He's used to being ignored or criticized if he speaks his mind. As well as why ge is the Sheldon translator in most cases. Also explains why he is so socially awkward. He was never having regular social interaction. Especially ones where you open up. Leonard tends to overshare with his need to feel connection.
