Glad you asked :) Jareth had been getting his music out for about a year before he got famous. Cole had him performing in bars and clubs (classy of course) which gained him a cult following for a period of time. This is also where Cole met Laurey (his wife) who was also a performer at one of these bars Jareth released his album Satellite Brigade, and Cole managed to get a radio to play one of the songs due to connections. The song began getting requesting every hour, and Jareth's first album began to fly off the shelves
