My favorite book is currently Roald Dahl's "The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Six More."
His writing is extremely efficient and clear, which I prefer over flowery language. I strongly suggest reading his short stories from this book, it has helped to spark so much creative writing for myself.
For something light; If you're looking a male with male romance that is not written by a middle aged straight woman,then I recommend "Widdershins, Whyborne and Griffin." Although I have grown out of the books, it holds a special place in my heart.

My favorite book is pax by Sara Pennypacker, technically a kids book but made me very emotional. It’s from two povs one of a kid and the other his pet fox that was separated from him during a war because he wasn’t allowed to take him with him to live with his grandfather

Catcher in the Rye has always been my comfort read, and as a rebellious gender deviant, Holden Caulfield always called to me. Idk what else to say, I’m just keeping it short and sweet :(:

Elves 👉👈 Well. It's also about transformation (physical and mental), the overcoming of both long and short traumas, and the ability to change entirely as a person based on your own actions. So making the choices to recovery!

I love the book The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions as a queer individual I resonate with the messages in the book and feel a sense of connection to it, it's messages about the world still hold true today and it's given me some laughs in the times we're living in. It's very much written by queer people for queer people

My favourite book is 'Strands of Starlight' by Gael Baudino. I bought my copy for a quarter from a neighbor, and it has been annotated and read dozens of times. A close second is Flowers for Algernon :) (Shockingly, LOTR is third on the list)

My favorite book is "The road" by Cormac McCarthy! It's about a man and his son living in a Post-Apocalyptic world. It can be very sad and dark at times but it's definitely worth reading and or listening to(I've been listening to the audio book to sleep.) the movie is also very good:)

My favorite quote is from Roald Dahl's "The Swan" "Some people, when they have taken too much and have been driven beyond the point of endurance, simply crumble. There are others, though they are not many, who will for some reason be unconquerable. You meet them in time of war and also in time of peace. Nothing, neither pain nor torture nor threat of death will cause them to give up."

While I find it hard to say I have a favourite book I do have a favourite quote. From the Never Whistle at Night horror anthology the quote "There was something inside me that was clearly murderous and felt nothing like me." has stuck with me long after I finished the short it was from.
