RL Historically too early for Cabinet of curiosities and Trophy Hunting I suppose.

Secret uses, regional specialties/limitations, using ivory produces a beautiful result but letting them know that ivory=teeth seems barbaric.

Emmanuel Dixon

i don't understand why he hasn't flexed his birthright he may be a "banished 3rd son but he is still the duke's son and a baron . while dickhead is a knight who is a nephew of a count standing wise he trumps and allowing disrespect in your own house is a great way to be walked all over. if Kivamaus doesn't start showing some teeth in his home his place of power he's really just gonna get the trouble he's trying to avoid because he's a pushover.

Francisco Javier Ortega Tejada

I think Kivamus could use his position as son of the Duke in more effective ways, there is not even the need to treaten anyone, he could sell the rights of exclusivity to some of the products he is creating, that could give him some extra money. He could also create a contract in wich it is implied but not warranted that they are starting a comercial relationship with the house of the duke.

Not going to give spoilers, but just going to mention that even if Duvas and Pydaso hadn't heard of these uses - which means they aren't used commonly - it doesn't mean that it couldn't have rare or hidden uses even in this kingdom which they haven't heard of. There are things like secret recipes and as for the other countries, well, all possibilities are present.

Honestly now I'm just going to assume now that they made cracked marrow broth. Lots of nutrients in that. But it would mean they had to cut up all the bigger and more useful bones. Anyone with a food shortage would have made that to stretch food as far as possible and provide enough nutrients to allow for longer work hours.

WES MCEWEN

Just want to add to the Bones discourse; “what about as an aphrodisiac”? Or anything religious related in the different kingdoms? Honestly, skulls as armor or bones as decorations was the last thing on my mind. Could make a potent bone broth for cooking stews in a way that’s a high society delicacy. Speaking of high society, who knows if any of the equivalent of Masonic lodges for the guilds or anything might covet the bones for some initiation rituals or something. Can also be considered for strange parts of woodwind musical instruments, like mouth pieces and unique things like that.

Teeth as well probably. We use ivory in so many places. Weapon handles, filigree, carved buttons, pieces of artwork/extravagantly fancy board games, heck.... Even today powdered rhino horn is believed to increase verility in some cultures. I think it was the Victorian era when European nobles ate Egyptian mummies for immortality. 15th-18th century actually. Medical cannibalism according to wiki.

I like the explanation that they wouldn't use the bones or teeth for anything but at the same time I'm pretty disappointed they don't have a healthy scrimshaw market and don't carve ivory jewelry.... Or sword/knife ornamentation to be honest. Ivory used to be very commonly used in weapon handles and pummels. Also feroy has apparently had enough of that little shit. And I approve. No matter how much trouble this might cause.... Though I see a future where he pulls his sword and Feroy trips the fool onto his belly and sits on him. Using the knight's own sword as part of his bindings. I'm really hoping this count's son is as incompetent as he sounds.

Gabriel Melnik

The bones could be used as Knife handles though.
