Yeah also OTL he only died after a tragic war that killed most of his remaining family after already losing his two trueborn children. Also a stint in the black cells. Without those it's very easy to see Corlys living into his 80s, maybe even 90s. Indeed. Yi Ti probably thinks the same as it did back then but with more respect now cause dragons. They are trying to and I will make an interlude on it but yeah easier said than done. The Sunset Sea is crazy and there is no apparent gain. Ah Dorne. We will get an update on them eventually. There is indeed, there's a university in White Harbor. Thanks for commenting! Stay tuned!

Corlys must be in his 50s or early 60 so retirement seems to be on the cards naturally. OTL he died at 79. So here could live into his 80s. The basilisk isles is natural. And basically makes the velayron state the dominant naval power in that area with dragons What does Yi Ti think of the velayron state ??? They’ve restablished links by now I do think going for myr only is best can be a limited police operation but the isles 1st I am wondering why the western bloc hasn’t explored the sunset sea Elissa farman still made her voyages didn’t she Also Dorne should be trying to avoid antagonism with the targeyans considering the expansion of the crownlands Also there should be a university and other such things in the north

Are you Korean by any chance ha vu? Interesting story and if it relates to Laena and Aegon's potential marriage, well we shall have to wait and see. And yeah Aegon is really sympathetic to Daemon due to his connection to him.

ha vu

You know. I am way more concerned with the Laena and Aegon match after this chapter, especially with the response of Aegon to the spat between Daemon and Jace. So I've read about the disaster of a marriage between Goo Huyn Jung and her Samsung husband. To explain further, she married him, was ostracized by her husband's family for not being able to speak English and French, gave birth to 2 children, got divorced and never being able to see her children ever again. Plus, her mother-in-law also banned any branch of her company from hiring Goo. Basically, not only is the husband a man without a backbone, but the entire family is a bunch of elitist pathetic people. I mean they are Korean and they speak English and French in their normal day-to-day on Korean soil. Wow. Look at that patriotism. You would think that they are French or English aristocracy of old. I find them abhorrently grotesque. What I learned from the story above is that it is very important that the person you are marrying actually has a backbone and can back you up instead of always siding with their family all the time, even if it is wrong to do so. I've no problem with supporting your family but your wife is your family too, you can't just let others walk all over her. And from this chapter, I am afraid Aegon is not that ... strong?? It is clear from looking at the whole spat that Daemon was in the wrong way more than Jace. Daemon is older, he is the host, he was caught shit-talking his guests, lost due to arrogance, and struck a boy when he turned his back. The level of patheticness is really up there. And I know Aegon like Daemon and all but if the love for his family can blind him to what they did wrong then ... when his wife does come to crash with one of his family members, will he side with them over her even if she is in the right. In a typical marriage, the woman is always in a much more risky position since she is pretty much alone with only her husband as allies. Laena has a dragon but marriage is a completely different beast than fighting. She would not be in the same position as Goo Huyn Jung because her family actually has the power to fight for her but it doesn't mean that the experience would be pleasant. I think marriage depends a lot on the people involved in it. Ideally, you would have both the family and the married couple being happy with the match. Yet, sometimes that is not the case. And the person who weighs the most on the scale of happy marriage tends to be the couple. Sure, the family's opinion matters quite a bit but it can be overcome if the husband can stick up for his wife and vice versa. On the other hand, if the family is happy with the wife but her husband is not, it tends not to go well. In the case of Laena, Aegon's family is not exactly brimming with joy at the prospect of marrying a Velaryon bride. If Aegon can't grow a backbone to support his wife in future arguments, it is a disaster in the making.
