Glad you liked it! Myr is in the next chapter though much less detail and the Rogare family and bank will be humbled but will remain prominent because of Moredo's service.

Nicely done Lys should be easy to run since the Rogares have already done the work of purging and pacifying the ruling class. They could simply replace one rogare with the other. I do hope the rogare bank and the family remain prominent. Curious about Myr now. The iron isles are fucked. Curious to see the Rheanys daemon tension and role reversal.but it make sense Gael and Daemon have gotten what they wanted.

Glass candles canonically can be used by almost anyone. Including Maesters of the Citadel and Quaithe etc. Valyrian ancestry and dragonriding are not required. Unfortunately the Orphans were primarily centred in Plankytown so... yeah. Not this timeline. I do have that idea for another story though, it will be hilarious. Yeah Daemon's vices are just so much more obvious than his virtues. It's not over for Moredo and Annalys certainly but POV-wise it may be as we're moving on to the next part of the story, the Triunification.

Tertius711

Glad you liked the Moredo Rogare POV! I was a little worried about how it would go but glad it was received well. No one actually, I was just looking for a Westerosi name and chose Duncan.

Huh, guess I remembered wrong. Really hope the Velaryon plan goes off without a hitch. Has been too long since a Velaryon plan has just worked without any trouble.

So, not only have they got the glass candles working, but there spies can use them? It doesn’t require dragonrider-hood or high Valyrian ancestry? Or does that spy have enough Valyrian ancestry? I wonder if the basic extinction of the main Dornish culture could allow a resurgence of the remains of the real Rhoynish culture. the Orphans of the Greenblood might be willing to work with the Targaryens since the persecution they suffered from the Dornish is much more recent then their beef with Valyrians. And the Targaryens could use a few locals who know the territory. Even in an AU, Daemon’s vices get much more attention then his virtues. I’d love to see a POV of Annalys and what she thinks of Moredo.

Very happy to see a Mysaria POV. I always found her to be one of the more interesting and mysterious characters in the time period and personal favourite. Kind of curious about Alys Rivers and Larys Strong, though I get why they are not very relevant in this timeline. A Moredo Rogare POV was not something I expected, but it was definitely a high point in the chapter. Very well thought out and engaging. I can easily see how a young idealistic man from a rich family could end up in such a dilemma, I do not envy him. Might I ask who Duncan OC is based on? Varys is rather evident if surprising.

Tertius711

Icic. If you're working by that logic then fair enough. Yeah lmao. Jace really is a horrible son-in-law objectively speaking.

Maciek

Dorne doesn't count since while it's resistance was predicted and included into Velaryon's plans, they did nothing to instigate nor support dornish defiance ;) I'm afraid that Gael's mood for any visits will be wiped out when she gets news about her dear son-in-law latest stunt ;)

Tertius711

Yeah I'm back! Ohh, Dorne doesn't count? Are you sure? Myr is understood to be happening as well but fair it isn't mentioned. Velaryon help to the Iron Islands was mostly some subtle funding and warship R&D help so they can pose more of an annoying distraction. Minor stuff tbch, they only had four years. Gael logic lol. She'll probably visit Tyrosh sometime or invite her daughters to Dorne once it's a little more pacified. The Targaryens funnily enough think that's just a spat between the young uns. Probably slapped Aegon up a little for being stupid but ehh it's not really relevant anymore. He won't I promise. Moredo is just in a really shitty family but still can't help but love them and that's tearing at his psyche.

Tertius711

I conceived it as Dorne pulling its Dorne Plot Armor First Dornish War BS and then being surprised when it no longer works and this is the realistic consequence of that kind of defiance.

Maciek

Nice interlude, especially after such absence :) Though I think in Author's Note you meant "TWO rebellions": Iron Islands and Lys. Dorne doesn't count and Myr was not mentioned ;) BTW, what was Velaryon's help to Iron Islanders ? Can't help but think that Gael's logic is a wishful thinking; how does she want to influes her grandkids, when she didn't visit them even once? About family thing, what was Targaryens reaction about Daeron and Laena's rushed evacuation from King's Landing and possible disclosure of Aegon's plan? REALLY hope that Moredo won't become weak link of whole Velaryon's operation - it's a high time for Corlys House to archieve the set goals without ANY complications :)

It is inevitable that Dorne falls to the Targ. What exactly can they do about those massive dragons really? However, the level of destruction to Dorne is pretty gnarly. Hundreds of thousands people. There is gonna be a lot of peasants among those. I wonder if the Targ tried to pacify the people of Dorne with attractive tax policies or redistributing the land to the remaining people or did they just come in swinging and never stop. It is important to be brutally decisive when winning the war but ruling is a completely different thing. You can conquer an empire on horseback but you can't rule one on horseback. The Dornishmen are gonna lose either way but at least they went down with a good fight. They are fools but they aren't cowards. The Targ even burned the Green blood, it is a shame because I have soft spots for the Rhoynar and what is left of them. The floating boats are probably the last of Nymeria in Dorne not counting her traitorous descendants. Wonder if the Dornish can unleash some diseases on Gael and the Targ - that is the only way to truly hurting them. Plus, they are surrounded by water, if their magic primarily uses water as a medium then they might be able to get the Targ with some exotic disease. It will be a nice callback to Garin the Great too

Tertius711

Glad you liked it! I was a bit worried cause I haven't written so much interludes in a long time but glad it turned out well. Stay tuned to see how the three revolts play out! No she's the White Worm explicitly.

Timofei Alechkevitch

Love it! Can't wait to see everyone's reactions and what ends up happening with Dorne, Lys & Myr, and the Iron Islands. Although, isn't Mysaria's monicker "The White Wyrm," and in wingless-dragon, and not "The White Worm?"
