Tertius711

Thanks! Stay tuned!

Tertius711

That's you. Other people think differently and who knows what pompously arrogant slaver elites think? In any case the Velaryons may expand into Volantis before another slave revolt breaks out.

Robin

Very excited for the interludes.

Robin

If they don't get out before the next slave revolt they won't have the option. Sorry to keep on at this, but I just can't imagine not getting out. Especially when the destination is the Triarchy with its high living standard and an offer to retain your rank and class.

Tertius711

Probably but she is in the Dragonpit so such a task would be nigh impossible.

It would be great if somehow Corlys II was able to claim Vhagar. And have that be a main catalyst for the dance. It’s an idea that would no doubt cross the Velaryon’s minds. With Baelon gone she needs a rider and I don’t think anyone else in House Targaryen deserves her.

Tertius711

Probably not but we’ll see.

Maciek

Given that his daddy is quite unstable already (at least in concern to Velaryons) it could be possible, unfortunately :(

Tariel Khalvashi

Will Aemond be the same psychopath here as in canon?

Tertius711

He is Aemond after all.

Silveraith

Vhagar is now free for Aegon's eldest son to claim. :(

Tertius711

Targaryen suffering is reserved for the Dance after all :) That actually slipped my mind. Thanks for the reminder. Rhaenys would be the natural and normal choice for hand as heir but Aemon likely doesn't want her trying to drag him into war so he may pick someone like Lyonel Strong instead. Stay tuned! I have some interludes planned to wrap up the storylines of the side characters like Otto and the Western Bloc, the Arryns, Mootons, and even the North. There will also be interludes showing insights into some Targaryens whose POVs we haven't seen yet as we approach the Dance and ofc some much needed Velaryon POVs and chapters concerning their preparations and family dynamics. Khal Drogo was just me making a cheeky reference to canon. He's not a time traveller or anything, just someone with the same name since he's from the same culture.

Tertius711

Fair. Keeping their options open in the meantime perhaps lol.

Robin

I’d say they still need the offer. If I’d barely escaped the brutality that a successful slave revolt results in and had a way to get away and keep roughly the same prestige (and probably a better lifestyle imo) I’d take it.

Maciek

You know, Targ conquering Summer Isles so easily was so predictable, that I have no strength nor will to argue with this....I guess that during Dance it will be second front, but more conventional. So first member of peaceful-going Targs is gone. Now things will be harder, with hardline faction trying to install their member as Hand. If they succeed, tension will rise significantly... So we have six years (or seven chapters) until Dance. To be honest, I have no idea what else is left to do beyond mentioned dragon-snatching operation by Velaryons, some Summerhall visits plus maybe some hostilities between Summer and Basilisk Isles. Can't wait to see what else will you invent? P.S. Am I righ in thinking that this Khal Drogo is not ordinary time-traveller? Because if he has Dany with him, things could become quite awkward during some accidential meeting ;) P.P.S. What is Otto Hightower and rest of rabble who rules Stepstones doing? If between Targs and Velaryons is there anything they can do, of course ;)

Tertius711

I mean things weren't exactly going well in Dorne. Just because Targaryens aren't dropping dead doesn't mean things always go well for them. Besides, it builds up the desire to see them fall and that can only truly happen in the grand finale no? Stay tuned to see if Rhaenys and Aegon live to regret their decisions. As for whether or not the Targaryens are destroyed, well stay tuned.

Tertius711

Corlys right now has eleven grandchildren and interactions between them and the 9 Targ grandkids would certainly be interesting. Stay tuned for the next chapter because I am currently thinking on how to incorporate these elements and also follow up on a teased storyline. Homeboi Corlys II needs his dragon after all :)

Tertius711

Stay tuned to see how Rhaenys intends to carry out her master plan! I mean the Paenymions didn't need to take his offer because they managed to keep control of Volantis just barely.

Robin

I’m very curious to see what Rhaenys’s demands will be when she’s queen. And you mentioned that the Old Blood survived the revolt, does that mean House Paenymions took Corlys’s offer?

Coconut mango

I think the interaction between Daemon and Gaels grandchildren would be fascinating if you write it lol So Rhaenys had 9 grandkids, how about Corlys?

Tariel Khalvashi

As always, everything is going well for the Targaryens. Only the end of the chapter smoothed out this feeling. I hope Rhaenys and Aegon will regret the end of their days, if they survive in the Dance, that they started this whole war in the first place. Instead of thinking about reconciliation, they are ready to fight as if it would be as easy as past conquests. I hope you will destroy the Targaryens just as Rome destroyed Carthage in its time.
