🕑 Added 2024-06-29 15:39:00 +0000 UTCSo now that High Tide is coming to an end with just one last chapter left to write and post for the highest tier, I've decided to make this post open to the public for all to see. Hello to all my readers! Members or not, paid members or not! I'm glad for your support, even if none of it is monetary. I appreciate every last bit. Anyway I have heard from a few that my tiers for my Patreon are too expensive and the number one reason listed in the exit survey is 'My financial situation changed' which given the state of the world at present, is understandable.

The consensus that I seemed to get from the comments was keep the prices the same, double the rewards. However it would still be pretty expensive and once I go to university to pursue further studies, I am uncertain as to my update rate. Thus I am considering to go even further. I came up with an idea to reduce prices AND double rewards now that Patreon allows us to change the prices of tiers with subscribers.
$2 - General Support
$4 - Two Chapters in Advance ahead of the Public Release.
$7 - Four Chapters in Advance ahead of the Public Release.
$10 - Six Chapters in Advance ahead of the Public Release.
Considering that the next story is the Aegon the Conqueror SI/Transmigrator fic, I have created this poll to try and survey you all and ask if you would be interested in subscribing for that story, with these prices if you like the story? Like on a financial basis, is this workable for you all? It's one thing if you don't like the story or don't like it enough to subscribe but if you do but can't due to your financial situation, do reduced prices and doubled rewards look better for you all?
Please do vote and/or lmk your thoughts in the comments so I can create the optimal price-benefit ratio for both you and me!

Thanks and I'll try and keep that up! I just need to see how my uni schedule goes because naturally uni is the priority.

Most likely. Consistency isn’t the be all end all. Communication is the bigger thing with me honestly. There’s a big difference between you posting that your coming up on exams and won’t have any new chapters for two weeks and you just not posting for two weeks or responding to anyone who asks what’s going on. You’ve been really good about that so far so I don’t see that changing 😁

I'll have to see how consistent I can keep it from September onwards since I will have uni but until then it should still be decently consistent. Maybe if not the highest tier you could drop down to a lower tier if not consistent enough for you?

That depends on how much less consistent it is. I back and have backed quite a few people. Verbally anyone who charges less than $5 that I’m willing to support are authors I like but maybe only drop a chapter or two a month. $5 is usually either people with a lot of patreons or people that post semi consistently. Ie once a week doing 5k+ words or maybe once or twice a month with bigger chapters. $10 I usually reserve for people that are either consistent or drop a lot of words. Whether that’s every 3 days/once a week etc or the authors that have started doing this full time that drop a lot of content a month. I’ll definitely stay for at least the first couple of months to see how the new story turns out.

The week later at earliest. I will need to write it and outline it. Currently doing the latter and will do the first chapter of Aegon after I finish HT. Stay tuned!

Indeed. Very understandable! Would the new price make you willing to stay subscribed even with less consistent updates when I go to uni?

I’m totally fine with the new pricing and benefits. I just wanted to ask when the Aegon fic would be coming out. Would it be together with the last High Tide chapter or the week after?

I like the price reduction. Your chapters are meaty but $15 was still high compared to most other authors. There’s something about going above $10 that makes me go from small donation I make to this is an expense 😅
