Glad you liked it! Stay tuned to see what is coming next!

Shinzou wo sasageyo! I see your reference and I think that it is a very cool salute so I like it being used here. The chapter shows a really good planned ceremony, but we kinda knew what was gonna happen here (except the surprise with the queens) which makes me even more curious as what will be their next action. Good work

Tertius711

Ah. Yeah now that you mention it you’re right. Well I hope it’s new and refreshing for once lel.

Maciek

It's not about this. Simply it's just the first story where Baratheons were settled outside Stormlands ;)

Tertius711

I see that you edited and lengthened your comment so let me reply to the rest! I’m glad you liked the establishment of the centralized army and navy. Centralisation will indeed be a generational project and even the strong foundation that Aegon will create would take decades to lay. Since this story is potentially lacking in the way of stakes due to Aegon being ‘overpowered’ I didn’t want to skimp out on the time and length of the proper conquest and centralisation he has set for himself. That’s a relief to hear. This is the first time I’ve gone all the way and written outright smut so I’m glad that it’s just right and not overdone. And yeah where canon had the court observe Aegon spending ten nights with Rhaenys for every night with Visenya, here it seems more likely for the court to observe he spends almost every night with both of them. One can imagine the lurid tales of those bedroom exploits that would start spreading across the continent dividing people between those who think Aegon is lucky bastard lol or that he’s some incestuous bigamous heathen… or both lmao. Stay tuned to see how many more children the three of them will have and what their dragon situation will be like! Interesting idea. Though the main issue I can see is that he lacks the logistics to raise so many young children and they lack skills that would be useful for his empire. However demanding slaves as bribes and Especially skilled slaves and their families or young slaves from the ages of 14-20 is going to be a big part of Aegon’s campaign to Valyrianize the Riverlands and it need not just be Lyseni, they can be from all the Free Cities if their skills are useful and their culture is sufficiently Valyrian and it need not be just slaves either, nobles and freeborn can be useful too.

Tertius711

Thanks! Glad you liked the explanation on the Ward system and the Valyrians being chosen as Wardens! Where possible Valyeiajs will be Wardens though that may not always be possible if there is a need to turn locals to defect. Yeah the allodial thing is a good way to put the nobles in their place indeed, as are charters that empower the crown due to increasing prosperity and tax revenue and undermining nobles.

Good chapter. I liked the explanation of how all the wards were divided with all the Valyrian Houses being given the position above all their Andal counterparts. I also agree with Aegon's decision of making it clear that all the lands belong to House Targaryen not the lords and that they are merely stewards/governors that he has appointed to oversee that part of his kingdom as part of the delegation of his duties and for efficiencies. I also love how Aegon is not being stingy with charters and is infact using them to empower the people of the Riverlands but also weaken the lords. The creation of the beginings of centralized army and navy was also a good start. It will take a longtime to change an entire culture of a people and to change their governance will take just as long. The increase if royal/imperial authority and power and centralization of governance will be a generational project for House Targaryen but Aegon, Visenya and Rhaenys can do a lot to create a strong and solid foundation from which their heirs can build upon. The smut scene was just right and not too overdone, though I am guessing that Aegon, Visenya and Rhaenys bedroom exploits will spread more far and wide now that they have established themselves more firmly at the heart of Westeros. I am looking forward to seeing how many more children Aegon, Visenya and Rhaenys will have down the line. I am however hoping that more dragon eggs will hatch so that all their children will have dragons sooner rather than later. Speaking of empire building, if Aegon wants to increase the number to Valyrians in Westeros he can ask Lys to provide him with slaves of Valyrian descents between the ages of 4-6 and 13-14 of both male and female as a bribe to remain out of Essosi affairs, whom he will free onse they arrive in Westeros and he can have them all fostered and raise based on the ideals he wishes to instill in them. It will take time but given a century there can be hundreds of thousands of ethnic Valyrian in Westeros.

Tertius711

It’s only happened 1.5 times so far. Skip the scenes if you’re not into it. Thanks for reading. Any thoughts on the other non-smut ten thousand words?

Tertius711

Definitely will have to show at least some of their reactions or at least hint at what they are.

Snack00

Less smut please 🙏

Jose Jimenez

Figured. I think someone else said it but Seeing the reactions from other kingdoms throughout his conquests sounds fascinating

Tertius711

Thanks! And yeah the North is last on the list.

Jose Jimenez

Great chapter! I would imagine the North is last on the list of conquests for Aegon?

Tertius711

Thanks! Next few chapters deffo gonna be a consolidation arc to transition from the Riverlands Conquest to the next conquest. Administration, worldbuilding, kingdom building, all that fun stuff. Wdym by replace them in the Stormlands? I mean the Stormlands aren’t likely to go under one ruler at this point given the Ward system. The Iron Islands alone would be a pretty lame target for the next conquest but there is a plan in mind for that, stay tuned to see how it goes. Ditto for the reactions of the other kingdoms. Oh they’ve heard alright. Next chapter is likely going to have some foreign emissaries arriving, maybe even interludes from their POV.

Maciek

Nice update ;) I guess that next chapter will concentrate on building adminstration for newly created kingdom. So Baratheons ended on the other side of continent - wonder who'll replace them in the Stormlands? Don't know which region will be next, but I think that simultaneous attack on Iron Islands wouldn't be out of the question - they'd be so weakened by civil war, that even medium-sized strike force should be enough. Will we see some Interlude about other kingdom's reactions about Hoare's downfall? Even with slow spreading of news, after few months they MUST know.

Tertius711

Glad you liked all the info and the hierarchy for the Wardens! Yeah the culture is important to create and while not all of them would be Valyrian in the future by necessity due to Westeros' size, the Valyrian core would create a strong traditional loyalty to the Targaryens.

Arcturus

Nice and such rich for info chapter! Really cool and thanks for your work 😀 👍 About Wardens, well it's quite logical to implement hierarchy and start to create system which would evolve into absolute monarchy in time. And second wonderful point that all Wardens are Valyrians and most of Royal Army and Fleet also Valyrians. It's quite important to cultivate their culture and population in Westeros. House of Dragon would always have part of society which loyalty would be almost absolute and it's great!

Tertius711

I hope it was worth the slight delay to get this 12k banger! Glad you think it's awesome! Do refer to Aegon's thoughts in Ch4, he mentions a Dragonpit in the godswood for the dragons though ofc such a pit would take time to build and given all the existing dragons are bonded it is a lower priority. The existing five Warden's territories are permanently set as shown in the map. They will not change. There are only five Wardens in the Riverlands but more will be created when they conquer the other kingdoms. The Westerlands for example according to plans have three wardens plus another Crown Province around Casterly Rock. As for whether the kids get their own royal dominions, the eldest will probably get a principality but the others probably not, at least not in the normal sense but Aegon deffo has plans for the cadet branches. Orys will probably marry a Celtigar. Thinking. The other kings deffo will get POVs eventually even if not all of them but when exactly they are I am uncertain. For Chapter 6 I'm thinking on what it can be but tentatively it will be the emissaries of the Faith and other kings arriving in Summerhal to feel out this new dragonking and maybe some of those meetings will be interludes from their POVs.

TyrantGod

Wow, finally a new chapter (Awesome chapter btw). Will the dragons get something equivalent of a Dragonpit later on, like how you had in High Tide or no? Are the wardens territories set now or will they change or expand as the conquest of Westeros proceeds? Will the kids get their own royal dominions? Who will Orys marry, a Valyrian bride or someone from Riverlands? Will you show of POV from neighboring kings ?

Tertius711

Yeah Summerhall is ridiculously huge. Martin Bajar on the Discord server and I calculated and estimated from canon that the outer walls are 150 feet tall and 20 feet thick, the Hall of a Hundred Hearths is 1000 feet long, 200 feet tall, 200 feet wide. The Kingspyre Tower is 500 feet tall, 430 feet diameter, Widow's Tower 400 feet tall, 230 feet diameter, Tower of Ghost 300 feet tall, 260 feet diameter, Tower of Dread 300 feet tall, 330 feet diameter, Wailing Tower 300 feet tall and diameter. The total ground land area of the castle is also 160 acres or 0.25 sq miles or 0.647 sq km. It's ridiculously huge. I'm glad you think so. It fills me with both pride and cringe I tell you. When I let the horny and writer mind take over I'm like damn this is good and when the other more sensible parts of my mind take over I die inside at disbelief that I actually wrote that. https://youtu.be/zFwLeO5jdyY?t=64 This video and the 'can't write smut to save their life' and 'can only write smut' sections sum up my journey writing this out pretty well lol.

Skruffy

The size of Summerhall just boggles my mind. And how thick and strong are those towers to hold up a balerion size dragon on its roof. Oh and that last scene…spicy🥵. Tert you got talent for this😳.

Tertius711

All Hail Targaryen!!

Chayut Panvilai

All Hail Britannia!!! No, I means All Hail Targaryen lol

Tertius711

I don't make them. Another Dragonlord patron, Jordan Redstark does. He uses a program but I can't remember what's the name.

Amerdism

Gotta ask, how do you make these maps? They're very good, is there a specific program you use?

Tertius711

Thanks! I'm glad you like it! Yeah it's truly insane how large Summerhall is. So Martin Bajar over on the Discord has calculated the Hall of a Hundred Hearth dimensions to be at 1000 feet long, 200 feet wide, 200 feet tall. I'm using Hobbit Movie dimensions for Smaug for Balerion where he is according to this article: https://www.dimensions.com/element/smaug#:~:text=How%20big%20is%20Smaug%3F,60%20feet%20(18.3%20m). Smaug is 60 feet tall, 427 feet from snout to tail, and his wingspan is 360 feet. So if we multiply all that we get a volume of 4,099,200 cubic feet while the Hall has (1000x200x200=) 40,000,000 cubic feet in volume. If we assume that all the dragons are on the floor instead of flying, all of them have their tails and wings tucked in, then we can easily fit at least 10 Balerions if not more. I added a mention of Bracken as one of the examples of lords: >>> Though their titles were Wardens, Defenders, and Keepers, all in these three classes were considered lords and styled as such as had been the tradition in Westeros since time immemorial. Lords Baratheon, Velaryon, Tully, Bracken, and so forth.<<< Aegon didn't do anything to Bracken and just made them Defender of Stone Hedge under his Qoherys Warden of Raventree Hall since they defected during the siege. Bracken and his fellow pragmatic opportunists and their relationship to the Targaryens may or may not be further elaborated on in the future though. Stay tuned for more!

Omar Alshaikh

Great chapter. Even after reading, it’s still insane how large Summerhall is. Too the point that it can hold BALERION in its main hall. I’m curious, how many dragons could fit in the main hall? Though to be honest, I kind of wanted too see how Aegon handled lords with questionable loyaltys like house Bracken.
