OK, it's not actually functional as a spacesuit- you'd get too cold- but it owes more to the Expanse than to Barbarella. Expect to see more of it, once I can find some support weapons that fit the style.

It's great to know that we can expect more of this, especially now that drop pods story is ended! Marvellous work as always!

Technically, because there is no air in space to conduct heat away from things, a thin suit would not be as cold as you might think. Rather, the real danger is actually overheating, because of the lack of conductive material (such as air itself!) to shed the heat energy. And if the local star is fairly close (as in, normal earth-distance) you also have to deal with radiant energy from the sun warming up the suit. I forget how NASA and other agencies manage to dissipate the heat effectively from spacesuits, but thats one of the reasons why stuff going to space tends to be mostly white, to reflect as much radiant energy away. And even then, astronauts have mentioned their tools getting noticeably warm even through their thick suits if left in the sun for too long. So as long as this outfit has the technology to keep the wearer at or just above 1atm and dissipates the wearer’s heat energy effectively, I can get behind (or into) it!
