"I don't think what inscriptions can truly be called magic, though, more of a false magic." Perhaps, you meant "that" instead of "what"?

Comiak

Clones can carry it but not normal inscriptions because it's been made into a magic item. Inscriptions will consume nearby mana including the clone and mana based weapons and armor. It does affect all spells but it can also be turned off at will so it's not too much of an issue.

The First Inscription (Exalted) (Artifact): Made by Alysara, a pioneer and visionary in the field of mana and magic; this is the first stable magic inscription made in history. This is the start of a revolution that may change the world. This item will stabilize all spells within two thousand kilometers. So, how does this item work? Can she have a clone carry it which will then allow it to have infinite range since it is being forcibly made stable by the item? Does this only affect the wearers spells or ALL spells within the range? If it is the latter then her mana manipulation will no longer be capable of disrupting enemy spells that are within range. Will it prevent skill gems/batteries from exploding if damaged? Or maybe I am just completely misunderstanding this item? Depending on what it is attaching this thing to the airship once it is finished might be a good idea?

I don't think the mana arc does anything to storms, it redirects the mana generated by the nexus

Nematrec

Just a thought. We know primordial artifacts can be altered (just not destroyed). Would it not be possible to change the skill on The First Inscription to a calm mana skill circle? Would probably be able to replace the mana arc's ability to calm mana storms. (I know it's not primordial... yet)

Nematrec

If The First Inscription isn't legendary by sheer virtue of existing, then probably not. She probably has to do something significant with it first, like say making a replacement for the mana arc?

ShotoGun

Shouldn’t this be a legendary feat?

Nematrec

I wonder if this will affect her evolution. I know in some fantasy settings there's people with runes/inscriptions/whatever flavour of written magic on their bodies. Sometime as tattoos, sometimes as natural markings. And personally I feel it's worthy of a breakthrough in mana manipulation if not it's own skill. Maybe seeing one working would be a breakthrough for mana sense, since enchanted items got their own breakthrough.

MadGod

Or just create a mana collecting array that spans the entirety of the nexus.

Squirtle

Also dont forget you need to actually have Mana Sense maxed and upgraded into Magic Sense to even do this to begin with. Also where is the limitations with Inscriptions that im curious about, because she could technically replicate any skill as long as she knows how the skill looks...

Robert Mullins

So to free Kayafe without dooming the runalymo she will need to create a magic manipulation item of similar style at legendary tier.

beautiful fork of art. I-I don't think I am ready for that yet; I still need to study what these inscriptions are capable of," I(missing something here?) the circle and make a lint(line) drilling a hole in the canter(center) that draws in mana, that all.(?) This item will stabilize all spells within a two thousand kilometers.(maybe drop the lone a?) Once she figures this out and can keep a clone active inside of the dungeon while she herself is outside she should receive a legendary point for it. I see no reason not to as this means she is effectively keeping a clone active a near infinite distance away as she said in an earlier chapter. I find it very strange that she did not get a legendary point for pioneering an entirely new field, especially one that seems this important? Shouldnt she at least have gotten Inscription as a skill? Or maybe it cant be a skill due to its close connection to Magic somehow? Tho if this is the case it just furthers that she should have gotten a legendary point.

Robert Mullins

Hehe, 'visionary'.

Robert Mullins

It's a fork of art!

Reinya

yay, she did it!

Belkoth

Hehe! Exploit has beenfound. Time to abuse the absolute crap out of it.

Giperman

I wonder if she to push it farther would she get a legendary achievement?
