Talespinner Lore

I mean, the entire point is that they're supposed to be practically impossible. It forces you to overcome the limits of your mind, body and skills during the trial to complete it.

Pawzom Lz

Name could be Fairy Tail. Totally not both a pun and stolen from a certain anime.

Aegis OT Void

Skill mastery requires risk in the way that even just to master it there are risks and things you need to do for the breakthroughs.

Kagaros

Her achievement was being the first to create an inscription that's stable. It subtly hints that the concept was already known and that someone made it before, just that it wasn't considered stable. I'm assuming it wasn't great enough to get a legendary point because it may have been a known research field or stable inscriptions had been made before in other worlds. It seems legendary points come from two major factors; significance and risk. Like when her entire race needed their soul repaired it was a significant enough event for Alysara that she could qualify for a legendary point if she had no help. TL;DR Legendary points have stringent requirements that the inscription discovery didn't fulfill. Don't know what makes skill mastery so special that they're relatively easier to get legendary points from.

Sam

Why didn't she get a legendary point for discovering the field of scripts? I would think that if anything would give a legendary point. You are discovering something wholly unknown. Just look at our history with radiation or almost any field of study. Those that pioneered them put themselves at great risk, mainly to the unknown. That fits the theme of the grave consequences that legendary points seem to thrive on.

Kagaros

Alysara's about to introduce capitalism to the Nexus, creating the first company. She'll have to come up with a company name and a company logo too.

Kemizle

TFTC

SpaceGoddess76

Or leave a legacy/similar item that can teach others to make them if something happens to her.

Squirtle

@Comiak, are you aiming for Aly to eventually get the 10th race tier? If she eventually gets to Legendary, then somehow goes to the 8/10 race tier, then uses her mythical point for 9/10.

Solplexis

Ally may be playing with fire can a technology be considered complete without its engine? She might need to teach at least 2 to how to make the spell crystal to be on the safe side.

Jacqui Andronicos

Did she not think about it in this chapter? She considers enhancing it too risky

Robert Mullins

@Comiak when are you going to address the point I keep bringing up about using her existing legendary point?

Tetrisman87

Tftc!

Squirtle

Considering the 1st ever inscription invented in the realm was only exalted achievement... It makes more sense that spreading the knowledge of something is more important than creating it, possibly. Though you also have to consider the being exiled part, it's a similar deal with the 3 likenesses where if you fail, you get exiled (which means death most of the time), and also you're losing everything you've build and everyone you love.

Kenneth Baxter

Great chapter! No offence meant but the first part of the conversation with the elders seems to be missing. Or at least a one liner about explaining the situation. I look forward to all future chapters

SecretsOfTheVoid

I don't know how "legendary" the spreading of technology a bit faster is... I understand it'll change the society as a whole but it was already going to do that. If she was going to get a legendary point, most of the credit should have occured when she discovered the tech. Legendary would be inventing the seatbelt and making it free to use. A utility that is great and good for all, done selflessly. A rapidly adopted technology that any car manufacturer could implement. Legendary is not making cars faster.
