The Royal Library
🕑 Added 2021-07-12 14:09:05 +0000 UTCThe biggest map for this month is a 56x58 size battlemap of a royal library. The design was built using two popular requests for assets: marble floors and bookcase pathways. With lots of hidden pathways, small hiding spots, and a massive main floor with 2 levels of elevation connected by a series of bridges.
I tried making an easy-to-use legend to help you navigate the building and all its corridors. At some point, I might also return to this library and add an environment on the outside of it, but I thought it could be interesting to have a basic version without that can be used in any setting.

For sure, the actual export of lvl2 is original without the lvl one included so it's an easy fix.

That must be pure coincidence, I haven't actually checked the submitted maps while I was doing this update. Another thing I don't plan on falling back on again! The inspiration was actually from the floorplans of an actual existing libraries. I read this great tip online somewhere for using modern floorplans of malls for dungeons, as they are wonderfully complex. Great tip. Can't wait to check out your submission though!

This looks familiar! Did you take any inspiration from the map I submitted, or was it pure coincidence? I love it either way, and it's much cooler and more detailed than mine!
Absolutely adore the map! But, looking at the lvl2 map, it is really difficult to understand what is on lvl1 and what is on lvl2 Can a greyed out version can perhaps be made?
