I don't mind bonus content that veers away from lots of research and does book club style content. I'm enjoying listening to this episode but can appreciate it's not for everyone. Some of the recent main episodes have been really enjoyable but the "phones are good actually" episode felt vague and out of touch. That conversation was missing research and nuance. It was an unfortunate miss.

I'm with you! The low-effort (in terms of research and fact checking) content lately, plus the lack-luster Patreon perks are what are making me drop the Patreon today. After the "phones good, actually" episode, I can't ignore that the content is getting lazy and that the host is not bothering to even fact-check anymore. This ain't an airport, and I don't need to announce my departure lol, but if you're reading this Sarah, please listen to what your long time fans are saying outside of the little Patreon bubble- this podcast has been giving lazy, stale, and badly researched in the last few months.
