P.S. Truly stunning fact: the NZ govt gets about $3 million a year in royalties from mining across the whole country, and they spend, wait for it, $3.7 million a year cleaning up after just one mine. And that mine's from the company we're fighting.

Hi Giordano, thanks for all the videos this year, as an NZer I've found you and your team's satire a bright light in the middle of a very dark year. One of the things that's made it dark has been NZ's own Shit Party and the Fast Track legislation they passed against a huge amount of opposition, which lets their mining mates rip up huge chunks of public conservation land with no right of public appeal (unbelievable, but them's the times). I'm part of a team trying to save one of these areas (Denniston Plateau) from coal mining and wondered if you'd be interested in doing an honest govt ad on this crap? We can give you a lot of info, photos and video footage. If this is something that interests you, please drop me a line. And good luck with planning Season 4 either way, I'm looking forward to it.

Hi Jay, thanks for the message and the suggestion. I love knowing some people appreciated the 3 years when we made the podcast. And I do miss doing it. It certainly does allow me to go on deep dives and explore issues in more details, than the HGAs. I'm currently working on our wrap-up video for Season 3 (it's taking me a long time coz I'm also making up for lost time on parenting duties!) and will put out a call for suggestions for what to focus on in Season 4. Thanks again for all the support for these past 7 years!

First up, my sincere thanks to you (Giordano) and your talented team for yet another year of outstanding world class vids! For next season my suggestion would be for you to consider resurrecting and sprinkling in the occasional 'We need to talk about..." YT podcasts. They seem to be the ideal vehicle for you to 'take a deeper dive' into issues that matter most... like the climate crisis. For openers I would think that a conversation with Richard Denniss from the Australia Institute on, shall we say, 'fair-go economics', would be both entertaining and help influence public opinion on everything from properly taxing methane gas exports to negative gearing reform .etc. My personal dictum is, 'once we get the money right, everything else will fall into place'. In any event, all the best for whatever you decide to do. Cheers mate!

The science that proves old growth forests protect themselves from fire (so we should stop interfering with them). See David Lindenmeyer’s irrefutable evidence https://www.victorianforestalliance.org.au/recording_lindenmayer_webinar. A focus on the corrupt and cruel salmon farming in Tassie (listen to Richard Flanagan’s audio book Toxic). Same as logging - plenty of greenwashing, pocket lining and tax-payer propping up. Whenever something goes and industrial, it’s goes bad.
