pvp in factorio really should just be two streams of factorio racing for spidertron with full equipment grid.

If you still have some interest in PvEvP, you could check out biter battles, that's 2 teams on a mirrored, river separated map, fighting against biter attack waves, which can be increased by the opposing team by sacrificing their own resources.
