Heres to hoping that the portal is still alive. which makes me wonder at the last orb's purpose. if the orbs are general survival tools, assuming that Sidney is right about the space thing and it was designed for being held in the hands, the last orb could be a cognitive alteration, healing, or general body care. the one really big question on all of that is the restriction in being held. if youre in space and and you need to sleep, how do you fly, keep up the shield, and breathe

Aww... too bad that the last image contains nothing that gives a sense of scale. :( Though the ring structure indicates, that the explosion went far up into the atmosphere? So maybe the broken skyscrapers are just too small to see?
