A pool on a plane? That is just asking for trouble; turbulance happens. And the inertia or maybe momentum (I'm not an engineer) of a loose body of water on a plane making any sort of manuevers would be ... not sure what it would be, but I can't imagine good. Maybe a <i>very</i> small infinite pool in a sealable room... Oh, wait, I bet Deus uses that as a set-up line, and if he gets called on it admits its a pool...table. A few balls bouncing around might crack a skull or too on a bad day, and would need to be stowed during take-off and touch-down, but at least it won't be a mid-flight drowning hazard.

Um, a solar thermal tower uses glass, not mirrors. You need the light to pass through the glass and heat up the air underneath.
