Where would she go, though, and how?

Anyone one else have a "Gawwwd Dammmn it Syney!! You've leveled now get the hell outta there!" Moment because the only thing that came to mind after the "I will literally die" was LEAVE, you've won you nit wit! I'm sure she wont as well.

I'd up my shield game in case the warp drive solution didn't work out (not to mention being unsure what direction to pick...she could be stuck in space like Star Trek Voyager with no way home for a while if she's not careful, and shields will be necessary).

Go for Teleportation, longer range or bring a friend?
John
Go for the bigger boom.

Oh shit. She'd better not go inside that ship or there's going to be a chestburster with power orbs...
Stuart Grosse
The correct answer is to unlock something on the mystery ball in hopes of finding out what it does! ;)

You can tell how serious the situation is by looking at how well her hair is behaving.

Too . . . many . . . options!

Previous one was #670. This should be #671

Given possible need for warp drive. I'd go with either scanners for a hope of an interstellar map, or more points in life-support. Though even more points in shields could be the way to go if she can't get out of here.

So far it seems fairly arbitrary. Her first came after the big reveal when she shielded Maxima's explosion, second came during her fight with the blood drinking golem, and her last three came from fighting alien kaiju (which somehow seems redundant). We have no idea what value various actions have, just that the little things she did before getting recruited weren't enough.

Ah, the choice paralysis strikes again!! Curse you lack of decisive preparedness! Speaking rhetorically: Now begs the question, though: how DOES Sydney's upgrade system work? Is it a form of EXP/are the orbs aware of the strength of opponents compared to themselves/Sydney?
Paul Rendell
Personally I think trying to deal with Sydney's... Sydneyness would drive Drizzt back to the Underdark with all those sane, calm Dark Elves.

The fact that I paused reading Siege of Darkness to read this makes the Drizzit comment all the better. Though I do think Drizzit and Sid would have a healthy competitive relationship.

Sydney has been Exiled, and now she has to find a Path home.
