I imagine there are a few levels of seat in the tub, not uncommon to have one quarter with a higher level than the others, mostly for getting in and out, or short people.

Shenanigans aside, the tub is too shallow. If it was just a little deeper, Syd could relax and let her arms hang down. Quite honestly, to me she looks defensive and not relaxed. More shenanigans needed, doc!

Neither did TBH but it's not completely surprising in retrospect. Writers generally pull at least one name gag. Not as bad as Alien Nation. "It is like your name... Sykes.
