As for Truesight while inebriated, well that would interesting to see, though I suspect that if Sydney did bother to drink, which is probably unlikely considering the strength of her meds, it'd probably just put her to sleep. :)

She wasn't holding on to the orb in question and was of the belief that the generic med was messing with her head so she had no reason to doubt the setup. Of course, if it comes up in conversation in next few pages, Zephan, the head of ARC-Light (the chief detectivepf ARCHON, if you will) might put 2 and 2 together, especially if he sees Dabbler and Gwen coming back afterwards.

Although this brings up a good question... Sydney's truesight... would it see through drug-induced hallucinations? Because, if so, that makes it much more useful. Drunk Sydney would never risk dealing with the effects of beer goggles.

I wonder if the real maxima looks like a muppet as well. After all there was no "hey why don't you look like a muppet" outburst. of course that could be next page...

Personally I would love to see a story line where Max is magically transformed into a muppet for a periods of several weeks- knowing her personality this would both drive her crazy and provide great Troll-fodder from the rest of the team .(besides, seeing a super-villain in a full-on fight with a muppet would be utterly hilarious).
