How big does the book have to be if you look up "TurboLaser" or "Star Destroyer" hmmm... ittty bitty or it gets bigger as it goes out. Heck "Phaser rifle" would be pretty awesome as well.

My guess for the book's limitations: only common nouns (sword, cane, wand), not proper nouns (Excalibur, G'hanir, Wand of Orcus).

Even though that book is cool and I would love to have one, I really like the little bio hazard signs floating over Kat's head.

I'm sure you're right but I'm also sure that orientation and possibly folding/bending the item expands the possibilities. And lets not forget going Ikea-style by getting the parts and assembling them afterwards.

Hrmm, I imagine it is limited to things that actually fit into the book with at least two dimensions, so "Body Armor" and "Gattling Gun" are probably off the menu.
